Squared Away Recently, I purchased a 2017 Camaro from Tom Gibbs Chevrolet. This is actually my 3rd vehicle that I've purchased from them in the past 10 years. First off, I'd like to extend a special thanks to Natasha Gibbs for initiating the conversation. She offered to purchase my 2014 Camaro because it only had 10,000 miles but I didn't want to give it up. Then she mentioned perhaps a trade for a 2017, which I was pretty interested in the new blue color. Also, I want to thank my sales person, Billy for the great help in showing me the new features and helping me through the whole process. A special thanks goes out to the owner, Tom Gibbs, for helping me sort out the small, after purchase defect on the door panel. Much appreciated. After my 16 year old car lost a wheel while driving, the last thing I wanted to do was to shop for a new vehicle. I was tired and not anticipating the car process at all, enter TJ and others at Tom Gibbs. TJ was very patient and walked with us while we circled and circled, we didn't know what we were looking for exactly, so like I said he was very patient. I could go thru detail by detail, and every detail is all positive. Bottom line is all of the staff at Tom Gibbs were very professional and friendly, we didn't encounter any "sales people" or pressure from anyone. They came out with a very fair up-front discount and were very transparent throughout the entire process. All the information (warranty, certification details, estimated trade value, financing options, etc) were laid out to me prior to my three hour trip to the dealership, so I felt very comfortable in making a decision to go with this dealer. When I arrived the vehicle was exactly as advertised and the price payment were what we discussed prior to my visit. Billy did a great job going over the vehicle's features and Robert Arkin in finance was able to procure very aggressive loan terms. I wouldn't hesitate to drive another 3 hours to go to Tom Gibbs Chevrolet the next time I'm in the market for a used car. This was a great experience from start to finish! Terrible Service On 12/29/2015 I had my 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer towed to the dealership with a problem shifting in to gear. At that time, the problem was diagnose On 12/29/2015 I had my 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer towed to the dealership with a problem shifting in to gear. At that time, the problem was diagnosed to be a transmission shift cable which was replaced for twice the charge once completed when checking with two other repair shops. After I picked up the car I noticed a grinding noise coming from the vehicle. This noise could have been reported by the service tech. , but was ignored.. After I called the service writer, he suggested I drive 30 miles back to the dealership and have the noise inspected. The following day I was informed that the problem was in the transmission and front breaks needed to be replaced. The cost would have been roughly $4000.00..... I declined proceeding with the repairs and brought the vehicle to a transmission repair facility and after a lengthy inspection determined that the problem was not in the transmission, but in the brakes. Brakes and bearings were replaced for $788.00.... not the $4000.00 quoted by Tom Gibbs I plan on alerting not only my friends , but others on my face book page and, as a retired Army Officer, others in a monthly publication produced by the military,the lack of professionalism and fair dealing on the part of Tom Gibbs Chevrolet. I live about 80 miles from the dealership and I just bought a used car from them today. We did a large part of the bargaining over the phone due to the distance. They (in particular Michael Bustler and Scott) were very courteous and forthright; and they kept their word. Everything we agreed to on the phone, was perfectly in order when I arrived today for the test drive. This stands in sharp contrast to the last two "deals" I had attempted to make recently with other dealerships (like Napleton Nissan), which were downright dishonest, and abusive.
