I just purchased my 2nd vehicle from Tom Gibbs Chevrolet and am extremely pleased. They are over an hour drive from my place in Orlando where I am surrounded by car dealers, but I would prefer to work with and am extremely pleased. They are over an hour drive from my place in Orlando where I am surrounded by car dealers, but I would prefer to work with the team there, as I know I can count on the quality and service. If you want to work with a team you can trust, a team with complete professionalism, and get a good deal on a car, I highly recommend. More

Advice: warranty-get your diagnostics-take your vehicle home. Warranty parts takes 1day or 2 to confirm. Vehicle held hostage with promises of completion "soon" home. Warranty parts takes 1day or 2 to confirm. Vehicle held hostage with promises of completion "soon" More
I went to Tom Gibbs Chevrolet because the reviews were basically good, treat like family, etc. Doug Miller (sales) was very good to me as was Bryant Beale (finance). I traveled 3 hours drive each way to o basically good, treat like family, etc. Doug Miller (sales) was very good to me as was Bryant Beale (finance). I traveled 3 hours drive each way to obtain a used Corvette and to trade mine-- even though I had received acceptable price offerings locally. It was more convenient to trade even though I received as much as $1,000.00 less. Within a week I was showing my friends who are extremely knowledgeable about Corvettes and discovered that the car had been sold to me without the emergency cable release for the drivers side door. I took the car to the local dealer, hoping to avoid the 3 hour trip each way. They automatically check things like alignment and the car was significantly out of alignment. The front tires were at minimal tread as well. So, back I go to Tom Gibbs Chevrolet. I even got myself a hotel room the night before so that I could get to the dealer as early as possible. I was made to feel like a piece of crap-- the manager, Caleb, ran interference for who I assume was Tom Gibbs, as I heard the person referred to as "Tom". They fixed the missing cable. Regarding the alignment, I was told that absolutely NOTHING further would be done for this car. Tires would not be replaced (which I was going to do anyway as alignment and adequate tread are definitely safety issues) but I was given the option of purchasing them at cost-- they did mount them for me. BUT, I was given a lecture regarding the state of my trade in of a Corvette convertible. Apparently, the roof leaked when it was run through the car wash. I was made to feel that I had deceived them. I, personally, never ran my car through a car wash and very rarely had it out in the rain, and it was always garaged. One dealer in my area actually examined the stitching on the convertible room very closely and declared that it was in very good condition, citing that in Florida, frequently the sun and moisture destroys the convertible roofs. (I did not trade my Corvette with any of my local dealers because they did not have a Corvette that I wanted). And, was told by Caleb that they felt that they paid more for the car than they should have. Next, when I was told my car was ready, I told the service person taking me to my car to wait a moment as I needed to pay for the tires. The service rep at his desk told me that I was free to go. When I questioned that, he said to hang on, he called someone to confirm and was told that he was to send me on my way. Then, I get a call the next morning telling me that I "slipped out" without paying for my tires!!! I called them back and IMMEDIATELY provided them with my charge card number. So, I left there at the end of the day, feeling very poorly, and then, to have my experience with this dealership go even further downhill the next day. Would I go back? Not likely, save for Doug, Bryant, and then Scott, who helps around the building to care for it, who stopped by to visit with me during my 6-plus hours at the dealership. Scott was so friendly and nice, a wonderful respite from how I was made to feel. More
I made an appointment to have the radiator and transmission fluid flushed and changed in my Corvette. I dropped off the car early in the morning and was told they would call me when it was ready. transmission fluid flushed and changed in my Corvette. I dropped off the car early in the morning and was told they would call me when it was ready. Since I never received a call from them I called about 15 minutes before closing and was told my car was in the garage but they hadn’t started work on it. This was after having made an appointment for a specific day two weeks prior. I had to leave my special car with them overnight for simple preventative maintenance. The service writer assured me that he would personally follow up on having my car ready early the next day. Again I had no call the next day and so by the afternoon I decided to call and my service writer for the status on my car. I was told that he was on vacation that day and after several phone transfers to other people I was told the mechanic was just finishing up and my car would be ready in an hour. I was satisfied with the work done but not with the whole run around after having made an appointment two weeks prior. More
Don’t buy here. They missed that the vehicle the sold me had an aftermarket exhaust that wasn’t listed in the service history. They won’t put it back to factory. They also don’t want cash. Probably one of the least painful dealer auto purchases I've ever made. Initial contact was via their web chat. The GM answered up right away and forwarded our needs to Keith. We had discovered the Chev I've ever made. Initial contact was via their web chat. The GM answered up right away and forwarded our needs to Keith. We had discovered the Chevy Trailblazer AWD (very new vehicle) can be flat-towed and it became our choice. But finding one took a little searching. Found about four AWD in Central Florida. We had a very clean low mileage trade and what really made this a deal were the incentives. The reviews weren't too bad for such a new design/vehicle. And for what we need, the three cylinder engine (?!) actually runs pretty well. Time will tell. But fit & finish is quite excellent. I seem to gravitate towards the unusual or unique stuff anyway. So this vehicle is right up my alley. We settled on a price and trade value and made the deal. We are super happy with the vehicle and especially how smooth and reasonably quick the process went. In our opinion the salesman was straight up with us and it didn't hurt we pretty much knew exactly what we wanted. We will probably take the time to go there for servicing too. So, they earned our business. More
ALL BUYERS BEWARE !!!I am normally not a reviewer but my ALL BUYERS BEWARE !!! I am normally not a reviewer but my experience needs to be shared to protect people from this place. My experience at this deal ALL BUYERS BEWARE !!! I am normally not a reviewer but my experience needs to be shared to protect people from this place. My experience at this dealer could have been A+, but the owner himself Tommy Gibbs dropped the ball. I attempted to purchase a Silverado 2500hd from this place on line . After negotiations and back and forth a deal was struck and delivery of the vehicle was scheduled for the next day . Come the day of the delivery the transporter arrived on time after a 4 hour nearly 300 mile drive. It was now my chance to inspect the vehicle before I signed and took ownership . During my walk around on a new 2021 SilverAdo 2500hd the black paint was covered in swirls and scratches from a horrible detail job. The brand new truck paint had been ruined . The transporter contacted the owner who wouldn’t even give me the courtesy of talking to me himself . Instead of being a stand up owner with his reputation on the line he decided to back out of the deal because “ he couldn’t make me happy” after a slap in the face offer of $100 on a truck that needs full paint correction. This kind of experience proves the lack of an owner Tommy Gibbs truly is and the lack of trust he has in his employees to make the deal right and fix the errors of his employees. I’m sharing my experience not to receive one single hand out but only to open the eyes to potential customers to tread with extreme caution. Because if the owner of the “ 40 year Family Owned Dealership” won’t make a deal right then there is no reason to do business with them . More
