Spend an hourdoing financing and after it was approved they said (less than one hour later mind you) that they wanted more money and couldn't offer it for the price offered anymore!!! What a waste!! Maybe that works with some people, because they say you don't want your credit dinged too much, but not with me! If you offer a price, make someone go through the application process and then say you want more money you will never receive a dime from me! More
Don't waste your time! I came to offer my opinion to my mother as she was preparing to buy a new car. Upon arrival I had said hello and how are you to Mark Keine who ever so kindly ignored me. I walked around with him and my mother to check out the three cars she had narrowed it down to. As the three of us walked around and I asked questions I was spoken to like an adolescent who didn't know what she was talking about. I was especially appalled when I got an eye roll from a 50+ year old man. Here you are speaking to me like a child yet you're acting like one. I continued to be polite dispite his rude attitude. I was very obviously interested in a 2012 Buick Enclave but he and no one else made any efforts to come at least attempt to talk me into buying this vehicle. But no worries, they didn't know I was looking and as far as they were concerned I was there for my mother. But still to have three guys lounging in the shade you'd think they would be eager to make a sale. Although I had no intentions of buying a car (maybe if they tried at all I would've) I still think the customer service here is absolutely horrid. These guys walk around with their heads held high like they just have everyone in their pockets already because they are the only Acura dealership around here. Well you guys lost my mother and Is business (oh did I mention she is a returning customer? - how hard is it to lose one of those!) We will now be making the drive to Orlando just to get at least a smile. More
Buyer Beware - unethical dealer My wife and I purchased a 2012 Acura TSX certified pre owned wagon roughly 200 miles from our home at this dealership. I requested the salesman inspect the car and send pictures of any imperfections in the vehicle. He mentioned that there were 2 small scratches on the rear bumper but other than that the vehicle was in excellent condition. I also contacted the sales manager and asked him to inspect the vehicle and provide details on any imperfections. He responded that the vehicle was in excellent condition. The relationship started off with two different Tim Smith Acura employees lying to us either by design or omission. I explained that round trip would be approximately a 5 hour drive and we were cash buyers and would like to have the deal completed inside of 45 minutes. Upon arrival we were told that they had gone ahead and completely repainted the bumper and the car was being detailed. After waiting 4 hours the vehicle was brought forward and looked as if it had not been washed. The person who had actually painted the bumper was still on site performing his work out of a mobile truck. Several vehicles were being repainted in the parking lot. He explained that the paint would not be fully hardened for a month or more. In addition, the passengers mirror was hanging off the vehicle. It was taken back to service to be fixed. Upon closer inspection after arriving home the vehicle has a litany of issues. - Six large exterior scratches that have been touched up with not so closely matching paint so they would not be immediately seen. - A dent in the center crease of the hood that had been poorly repaired and caused the paint and metal to separate. According to the local body shop this will eventually rust. - A large dent inside the wagons 5th door where something heavy was dropped int he vehicle. - A large gouge in the glove box door - After returning home the oil life remaining light came on indicated 30% oil life remaining. Th vehicle is supposed to be a 2012 certified pre-owned Acura and we were presented with a check list of things that were supposedly completed including an oil change. In addition, the salesman and sales anger were both asked individually by email to identify anything that was wrong with the vehicle. Obviously this purchase has been a great disappointment and we feel that the dealer has lied to us several times cheating us as a customer of both time and money. We have contacted both the sales manager and the general manager of the dealership and were told the could offer no compensation or repairs for e broken items on the certified Preowned vehicle we paid $23,039.27 to purchase. Buyer Beware ! More

Soon thereafter my dash lit up like a Christmas tree and the car ground to a halt on the freeway. Never had a single issue with the car before; it was "bullet proof". The tow truck driver figured out the problem in 30 seconds: THE RADIATOR CAP WAS SITTING ON THE BATTERY! To their credit, they were very gracious at first. They covered the tow, brought me a comparable loaner, and promised to "make it right". However, the relationship rapidly degraded. They took two months to replace the engine, and never updated me once. When I picked up the car, not only was it not cleaned, but they left a wet chamois cloth on the leather seat. 5,000 miles after the engine replacement the Exhaust Gas Regulator (EGR) gave out. Tim Smith Acura informed me that because the EGR was cannibalized from the old engine, it was past warranty. SERIOUSLY!? The old engine got so hot it melted, and yet they still put the part that regulates HOT EXHAUST GASSES on my new engine and said it wasn't their fault it failed (it was). So, I paid Joe Bullard Acura in Mobile (amazing dealership, highly recommended) $600 to fix it. After another 5,000 miles my water pump started leaking. There's no doubt this pump was also cannibalized, and since engine-driven pumps are partially lubricated by the fluids they pump, it would have been damaged from running with no radiator fluid. The repairs will cost $990. I don't know how Tim Smith Acura is going to handle this issue because they won't return my calls. And yes, I have been perfectly polite and patient. I hope they uphold their promise to "make it right." More
Abysmal customer service. Slimy tactics are the norm here. Let's get this out of the way: DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH THESE INGRATES. Tim Smith Acura is full of conniving idiots that are either too stupid or too slimy to care upholding their word. I went in to look at a car that had been on their lot for over 4 months that I wrongly assumed they would be eager to sell; afraid not. They threw the usual dealer low-ball at my trade-in and I countered with actual numbers from real websites that normal people have access to. I left assured that I would receive the full payoff for my car as they would still stand to make quite a bit of money off of the deal. I received a call today, not even 24 hours later, after waiting almost 4 hours for an answer on my offer, informing me that the numbers we had discussed previously were null and void because the person that gave them to me was a salesman and not a sales manager. He then proceeded to inform me that the offer was 2,000 less than we agreed upon not even 24 hours prior. The sales manager then proceeded to admit that he was not an expert on the type of vehicle I was trading in, but then tried to tell me exactly what the market was for it. A wee bit of confusion on that one. They seem to be in the business of keeping cars on their lot for as long as possible, and lemme tell us something; BUSINESS IS BOOMING! More
One of the worst Acura dealers in the country. If you live in the panhandle, own an acura you are out of luck as far as dealer service is concerned. Service staff is disorganized ( since the last service live in the panhandle, own an acura you are out of luck as far as dealer service is concerned. Service staff is disorganized ( since the last service manager left ), they dont get the right repairs done in the first attempt and communication is terrible. Have owned acuras a long time dealt with many Acura dealers across the country. This one by far is the WORST. More

We were looking to buy not one but 2 TL's and asked for the Consumer Reports price. They asked where we came up with those numbers, and were shocked when we showed them the CR report. They claimed they had never seen it before and that none of their clients had ever asked for that price! We do get our cars serviced there, the service is OK. But the sales staff is terrible. Because of the negative experience with the sales staff, I'm afraid to take our cars in for service! More
I purchased a certified used Acura RSX in November 2008 under the extended warranty. Upon a trip to Pittsburgh the brakes gave out and was towed to the nearest Acura dealership. Technician stated that af under the extended warranty. Upon a trip to Pittsburgh the brakes gave out and was towed to the nearest Acura dealership. Technician stated that aftermarket brake lines were on the vehicle and had worn through. I was not aware of aftermarket brakes line on the vehicle when purchased, nor had I put any brake lines on this vehicle. I contacted Tim Smith Acura of the problem and was told initially that I would have to pay and then to send the repair order to them and I would be reimbursed. A couple of days went by after I sent the repair order to them, then it was requested that I furnish the brake lines. Of course nothing had been said initially that the brake lines were needed. After finally getting ahold of the service manager after numerous attempts, I was told that I would not be reimbursed for this work which would have been covered had there not been aftermarket brake lines on this vehicle. The reason giving was that he did not have access to see the brake lines. I feel that I was wronged by this, either he should have taken my word that I did not have aftermarket brake lines put on this vehicle, or that the Acura dealership in Pittsburgh misrepresentated itself when stating that aftermarket brake line existed on the vehicle. Finally I am curious why it took so long to request the brake lines that were taken off of this vehicle. I would not recommend anybody purchase an Acura from this dealership. I am retired military and will make sure that all service men and women at Eglin and Hurlburt are aware of such poor service from Tim Smith Acura. More

The customer service at Tim Smith Acura was awful. The sales persons were not knowledgeable about their vehicles. Two of the salesmen were very condesending to me and didn't value me as a customer until sales persons were not knowledgeable about their vehicles. Two of the salesmen were very condesending to me and didn't value me as a customer until they found out that we had excellent credit. We were interested in a TL but the salemen continued to push the more expensive RL. Our few hours at Tim Smith were uncomfortable and we just didn't get a good vibe. Too much attitude and not enough correct information. Lots of double speak. You could ask 3 different salepeople the same question and get 3 totally different answers. Overall unpleasant experience.
