Good day Mr. Barales, My name is Ted Nicholas, President of Three- Way Chevrolet Co. and I wanted to thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience. We absolutely strive to provide our customers with an efficient and professional service experience, so I was extremely disappointed when I read your review comments and I took it upon myself to meet with my Service Management team to gather as much information as I could related to this visit. In examining the documentation, I noticed that Mrs. Barales brought your vehcle in for service and informed our service advisor that she also needed a key fob that she had purchased at another dealership programmed. We did not know that the fob was actually purchased from a 3rd party on the internet until our Service Manager spoke with you. The issue as it was explained to you was that the fob that you purchased was still programmed to the 3rd party's vehicle and when we went to program what we believed to be a new fob purchased at a Chevrolet dealership the system recognized the fob was attched to a different vehicle and your car went into anti theft mode preventing your existing fob as well as the spare fob brought in from being synchronized to the vehicle. We did sell you a new fob which could be synchronized to your vehicle and your vehicle alone at a cost of $155.23 and we reduced the diagnostic fee and labor to reset the system from over $145.00 to $11.96. The total bill including tax was $180.00. I assure you had we known initially that the fob was purchased from an individual over the internet, we would have advised you that we could not reprogram a fob that was synchronized to another vehicle. We have been in business for over 64 years and we take a great deal of pride in doing our very best to exceed our customers' expectations. In regards, to the exterior car wash, we apologize that during your visit the system was not operating. During this Covid crisis, we unfortunately are not able to perform some of the extra services that we normally would. We value our long term customers and look forward to continuing to provide you quality service on your 2016 Malibu and your future vehicles as well. Once again, I thank you for taking the time to bring this matter to my attention as I was pleased to see that my team did everything possible to minimize your expense and expedite the completion of the repairs requested.
