Wow! Another great buying experience at Thompson's Honda of Terre Haute. My family has purchased over a dozen vehicles in the past 20 years from them. I've had very positive experiences with the service department at Honda. I really like how you drop your car off - You drive into a covered area, get out and walk right in to the service desk. The service personnel (this time it was Jerry) have always been courteous and professional. Appointments have always been on time. The waiting room is clean, very inviting, comfortable, with plenty of plug ins for electronics. Service manager, Bud, followed up with a phone call to further add to the Honda service experience. During this pandemic, there were precautions in place to lessen risks. A large plastic shield was put up at the service desks to separate further the customer and personnel; also instructions to choose a clean pen when signing, and a discard bin for the just used pen. I would go no where else to have my Honda serviced. This dealership is great! More

The sales associate was experienced an addressed our needs professionally and promptly. Unfortunately, when it came to the final step to purchase of the automobile with the manager the experience was insolent. The managers professionalism was discriminatory, and discourteous behavior for a member representing this company. While me and my partner were sitting in the manager’s office within five minutes, I had requested to have copies of documentation he stated they keep but we do not get them, I requested a copy anyway. After that ordeal then I started to questioned the Honda disclosure form, immediately while he was shuffling papers, no eye contact at all, stated in a blunt inadequate tone “oh your names is not on the paper work”. He appeared very irritated. He at this point was still not making eye contact with either of us and shuffling papers. My partner (the one whom was signing the documents) “state she has my back”. The manager then realized by our star struck appearance that his improper behavior and reckless comments were firmly recognized. The feeling we strongly absorbed from the comment was if a female partner was present in the process and was not signing the dotted line she was of less value and insignificant. American lifestyles, shared values and beliefs in matrimony and cultural changes are quite different in today’s society than a decade previous. With this being said, if the manager were education in this area, I believe this incident would not have taken place. The manager did not take into consideration my significant other and I are going to purchase another brand-new car, and I would be the one signing on the dotted line. With the horrible experience, unfortunately we will not buy local and defiantly not at Thompsons Honda. And just to add a note we purchased a brand-new car and asked for the perk of weather tech mats and was given an unequivocal no, much to our dissatisfaction. So in no short terms do not ask for any perks from this company, you will not get them. Another note to mention, to this date no one from this company had follow up, or even called us to see if we were satisfied with the product or how our customer satisfaction was at the time of the purchase. Humm another unfortunate example of business practice not focused on customers service after the purchase. More
