Deceptive sales practices. They advertise vehicles at a low price which they no longer have in stock. Instead of being upfront and telling you this, they string you along in hopes of selling you something low price which they no longer have in stock. I bought my 2013 Avalanche at LaBonte after doing quite a bit of research and pricing from several dealers. The sales team was helpful and I was greeted as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. Chris Cooke immediately showed us what was on the lot up front and was quick to point out that there was additional inv pulled into the parking lot. He showed us the models of the cars we were interested in and didn't try to push us to look at vehicles we said we weren't interested in. When I didn't like the inventory options out front, Chris immediately acquired a golf cart to transport us to the the adjacent lot to view the rest of the inventory. Once in the dealership to talk about the purchase, both Chris and Gary were receptive to our needs and requests. Once we were in the finance office with Steven Wier (I may have the spelling on the last name wrong) he was also extremely personable and professional and he worked diligently to get us the best possible financing available. Once the purchase was completed Chris gave us a tour of the service department and made sure our car was detailed and delivered to us in a timely manner. Once the care arrived from the detail shop, Chris made sure that all the safety features and lights on the car were working properly and assisted us with the OnStar system set-up. Once all the i's were dotted and the t's crossed the entire Terry Labonte sales team sent us off into the sunset with a warm goodbye, set off by the old Chicago Bulls theme music (which was an awesome touch by the way). Overall it was a pleasant buying experience and I will surely return to Terry Labonte for future purchases. More
Great deal on 2012 Corvette Grand Sport. Service is TERRIBLE. They damaged car upon delivery, painted door and has not ever been right. Transmission problem 5 weeks in service still iffy, cant fix. we spent 4 1/2 hours there. we finally agreed on a price and payment. we went over a contract, and signed it. changed my insurance on the new car and drove it off the lot. the dealership left the price and payment. we went over a contract, and signed it. changed my insurance on the new car and drove it off the lot. the dealership left the dealer tag on the vehicle, so two days later we are supposed to come pick up a 30 day tag. we come back and sit there another 2 1/2 hours. finally we talk to sylvester wynn, and he gives us another contract with a new interest rate that was much higher than the contract we signed previously. the payment went up to around 670 a month. so in conclusion we sit there approx. 7 hours, signed a contract drove off the lot with a brand new car thinking we purchased it, only to come back two days later to show us a payment we had turned down after we had been there only 2 hours. needless to say we did not leave the dealership a second time with the new car More
I took my 2007 Cobalt in for service last week. I have bought several cars from there and do all my service work there. I have found them cheaper (even than the quick lube places) to do services there. I bought several cars from there and do all my service work there. I don’t trust those smaller places because they always tell me there is something wrong with my car when I don’t have any problems. They can usually do a complete oil change service in about 15 minutes because they have 4-5 guys working on the same vehicle at the same time. It is just like a real racing pit crew. I have been going there for about 5 years and always see Ryan. He is always nice and shoots me straight. I would never go anywhere else. They are the best service center in the Triad area!!!!! More
Hands down the best dealership service experience I've ever had. On 3/23/2011 I was driving my 2004 Tahoe along W.Wendover Ave. in Greensboro when my vehicle began shuttering and jerking, at the same time ever had. On 3/23/2011 I was driving my 2004 Tahoe along W.Wendover Ave. in Greensboro when my vehicle began shuttering and jerking, at the same time, the check engine light came on, and a service 4 wheel drive system message came on. As luck would have it I was close to Terry Labonte. As soon as I drove into the service drive, a service person(Mike Swafford)came over and began gathering information on my vehicle. Mike was very friendly and sincerely concerned with my issue. He explained that they would have to diagnose the problem, and that it would take an hour and half or so. I told him I had an important meeting at work, and was afraid I would be late. He said not to worry, they would provide a shuttle ride to my office and he would call me once they had found the problem, and he would call me with an estimate for the repairs. To make a long story short, my Tahoe was ready by the time I was ready to leave work. The shuttle picked me up at my office and delivered me back to the dealership. I will be going back to Terry Labonte Chevrolet for all my service work. More

Mr. Crawford informed me he would speak with his manager and call me back. Four days later I still had not heard from him, so I called back. He then informed me that there is nothing they could do. I stated, "After spending over $26,000 on this truck, you can't balance the tires?" Mr. Crawford said, "there is nothing we can do about it, for all we know you hit a pot hole on the way home." I feel this is very poor way to handle business with a new customer... More
