Let's talk about this horrible truck buying experience that I've had over t DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! You will be lied to numerous times! Let's talk about this horrible truck buying experience that I've had over the past 2 weeks at Terry Labonte Chevrolet in Greensboro NC. On 1/21 I called the dealership in regards to a 22' model 2500hd. I was told by both the salesman and the tower manager that the truck was there and available. Since I was a few hrs away from the dealership and had an appointment that would take the remainder of the day they told me I could do a deposit of payment on the truck. So I gave them $5000k dollars over the phone and was told the truck was mine and would be ready to be picked up at 9am the following morning. 1 hr later I get a call from the Tower manager telling me that they accidentally sold the truck that I had a payment on. But luckily for me they had a higher trim package truck coming in a week later. So he told me to come in and make the deal on the truck (without seeing it or driving it) and that he would "hook me up" for my inconvenience. I'm at the dealership at 10am the following morning where they had a print out of the the price of the new truck ready and waiting for me. But there were a few line items that I needed to address. So the Saleman and tower manager took care of those line items but in the process they took off two discounts of $750 and $600 that were given to me. When the salesman return to the table he acted as if they done me a favor by taking the line items off for me but failed to mention the discount removal. Luckily I seen that it was removed (Very Shady!!) and mentioned it. After going around and around it was given back to me. Then I was handed off to a Finance guy!! This is where it gets good y'all! I was told I had perfect credit and they only needed $10k down and would get me rolling for 72 months!! "xxx!! No way bro!" I then informed him that I was putting $45k down and would finance the rest. He was shocked and told me I could not do that and NO Bank would ever lend money on that deal! So I then explained to him that I would just pay the full price in cash. He didn't like that at all. So after a few mins he comes and takes us back to his office. Here is where he tells me the best deal he could get me was a 6.99% interest rate on $8500 loan on a $53,000 truck!! He said "absolutely no one he uses would lend me $8500 on a truck even with my 800+ credit score!" So I was at my wits in and signed the papers and left. A week later I get the call the truck ready to be picked up. So I rush 2 hrs up the road to get there before closing at 8pm. We arrive at 7:45, I get handed two keys and told "oh yeah, that $599 Bedliner we charged you for isn't here, we will mail It too you." A 6ft 9inchx18 inch tall bedliner mailed!! So I shake it off and hit the road. Then next day I get to looking at the truck and learning it and see the LT model truck that I paid for isn't the truck that I got. Well not completely. I find that this truck has a Work Truck back seat and doesn't have the flip down console for Cup Holders and the rear storage in the seats. So I'm pretty upset over this. Call the salesman and chat with him and he reassures me that it will be taken care of. Monday morning I get a text from the salesman telling me that the cupholders and stuff is a Upgrade and isn't Standard Feature on an LT model Chevrolet 2500HD. Which is a lie! So this whole experience keeps compounding with shady lies. I wanted more answers from management! So I got that!! The tower manager calls me and tells me "Since I got such a great deal on the truck that there wasn't nothing they could do! And if I didn't like this that I could go to sell the truck to Carmax for my money back!" I was livid!!! So I done like any person would do, I left work and drove 2 hrs to the dealership. They didn't want to make the deal right and fix the issue with the rear seats. So they just took the truck back. So now Im back at square one! More
