In response to a Teddy VW mail promotion, I was promised an appointment for Teddy VW to appraise and buy my 2007 Passat Wagon. I made it clear that this was not a trade-in. When I arrived at Teddy VW (after a long slog from Manhattan) the salesman said that they don't just buy back cars that it has to be a trade-in -- he just sent me on my way. The process wasted a good couple of hours of my time. The sales manager called me later and said that the salesman was wrong. I told the sales manager that he should send one of his people to my car in Manhattan. He told me that he wouldn't do that. Thanks, Teddy -- great service. Was this just a bait and switch? More
