I left my 2021 Atlas Cross Sport at Teddy Volkswagen on March 12, 2026 for a dashboard warning showing the emergency call system was not working (a safety feature). After multiple follow-up calls and no returned messages, I eventually learned a part had been ordered and a Volkswagen Technical Assistance case opened. I picked up my vehicle on March 14 and was told I would be contacted when the part arrived. I have still received no update and no repair timeline, and the safety system remains unresolved. Communication from the service department was extremely poor. If a dealership keeps a customer’s only vehicle for diagnostics, they should at minimum provide updates and follow through. I am currently working with Volkswagen Customer Care to resolve this issue. More

I saw negative reviews about hidden Lojack fees, which I asked about. The "manager" acted like he didn't know what Lojack was, and said there would be no such thing. I then get the price quote and it had the $175 dealer doc fee, a $1,495 Lojack fee, and $513 in other fees. I asked for an explanation on the latter two fees and never got a response. Vehicle Condition: The online photo was manipulated to make damage far less visible. I asked twice if there was any cosmetic damage I should know about, and was told no. Not until asking a 3rd time was I informed that the passenger side had been side swiped and never repaired. The door needs sheet metal work and the paint will be significant enough to require blending across the side panels. Comparing the iphone photo of the damage to the website photo, the photo editing is apparent. They then stopped answering my questions when asking about the damage. Communication: Very poor. Lack of follow up and lack of enthusiasm for the customer and the business. When a buyer has to force communication to discuss a vehicle, your dealership culture is broken. Overall: Classic dealership behavior that has plagued the industry for years. No hustle. No integrity displayed in any interaction. More

We anticipated the transition would be seamless—we had financing in place, insurance ready, and clear communication about our timing. However, when we went to confirm a time to go in and close the deal, we were told the car wasn’t even on-site. It was at a separate preparation location that’s closed on Saturdays and Sundays, which seemed odd given that weekends—especially a holiday weekend—are typically the busiest time for car shopping. Additionally, we encountered an unexpected LoJack add-on. We were told it was already installed and couldn’t be removed, despite never requesting it. While the dealership claims “no dealer fees,” this felt like a hidden fee in disguise. We were even willing to accept a car that wasn’t our first color choice because of the simplicity and transparency we expected—only to feel like we were being upsold and inconvenienced throughout the process. We also felt like there was little effort made to make things easier for us, even though we were serious buyers ready to complete the transaction that day. Instead, it felt like we were going out of our way to make things happen—with little accommodation in return. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. When I returned, I was greeted by Kevin who convinced me to buy a 2024 Tiguan. The entire process was amazing and I am very happy with my new purchase. This is my 4th Volkswagen. So before I even confirmed & looked at the new vehicle he’s telling me how he already switched my vehicle & bank. So he then had to write a new contract to put me back in the 2022 Kia K5 vehicle because he had already switched my information that was on contract without my permission for the 2024 Volkswagen Jetta se. There car sales man kevin also tried registering the new vehicle here in NYC with out of state insurance & it came back saying the plates on the car were suspended because the car didn’t have insurance. They also sold my used vehicle that I traded in for the new vehicle & while I was fighting to get them to take back the new car I got based off lies I was told. They sold it & I never signed the proper paperwork for them to legally have sold my car. I never signed the odometer disclosure statement, statement of transaction and I never received my license plates to give back to the DMV. I never even signed the back of my title to give the dealership legal ownership. This dealership is fraudulent, the store owner Shane took the car back & now they don’t want to give me the money made from selling my used 2015 Volkswagen Jetta se, even though I technically never signed the proper paperwork, they cut me a $500 check & is denying me the right to a receipt or bill of sale for how much the car actually sold for. The store owner Shane put me through xxxx trying to take the 2022 Kia K5 car back for a month & then lied to the state attorney office saying they tried contacting me for 3 weeks & they got the car back after threatening me & my grandma with calling the police & reporting the car stolen.
