I just had the worst experience trying to buy out my lease vehicle, with the salesman that sold me the lease. I stopped by the dealership to inquire about buying out my lease which ends in November. I wasn't ready to commit to a buy right then; I was acquiring. Caleb Sturgeon, the salesman started working up the vehicle as if I was going to purchase it right at that moment. I informed him that I already had financing through my credit union, but he insisted that I had to obtain the vehicle through the dealership. While stating he could still run my credit with the same credit union, which made no sense to me, while still working up the purchase and trying to get me to sign documents. I had to demand that he stop what he was trying to do until I reached out to my credit union. I returned the next day and had a credit union representative on the phone to have him explain to them what he was trying to push on me. It turns out he was trying to collect a commission, that would have had me paying more money for the same vehicle that I already had a great rate on. The SUV will be purchased from the manufacturer without all the markups from the dealership. In the last 10 years, I have purchased 4 vehicles from this dealership, but I will never buy another vehicle from Suntrup again. The fact that Caleb thought he was going to pull a fast on me was the biggest disrespect I've ever encountered at a dealership. There was no respect or honor given to me on this purchase. More
