The service department at Sunrise Ford in Fontana is awful. The 800 customer service number from Ford is not much better. I was put on hold asked to take a survey and at the end of the survey they hung awful. The 800 customer service number from Ford is not much better. I was put on hold asked to take a survey and at the end of the survey they hung up. No one ever called me back. Their idea of hold for a minute is much different then mine. My windshield cracked on my 2011 super duty f350 my driveway because of 104 degree heat. They said it was a rock chip? Yet no one can explain how a rock chip happens in my drive way, under the windshield wiper, and under the hood line of the truck. I quess it must be a space rock? If you want quality I would go elsewhere. More
Sales guy was great but after that the rest went to crap... Drove from Vegas to pick up a 2011 Explorer which was great until I want to leave. Paid for registration there and in Vegas. Money was refund crap... Drove from Vegas to pick up a 2011 Explorer which was great until I want to leave. Paid for registration there and in Vegas. Money was refunded but what a pain in the a**!! Also, had an issue with rear view camera and took it to my dealership in Vegas and price was negotiated by both dealerships and it was fixed.. When it came to payment from Sunrise Ford all my dealership and I received were voicemails and no payment!!! Still in process of trying to get payment from them.... Hate their customer service or lack there of!! More
Bought my car there,it came without floormats. Sales said its an option not included. Car had a squeak since test drive, dealer could not find source, I fixed it myself. Drove 47 miles for my free oil chang its an option not included. Car had a squeak since test drive, dealer could not find source, I fixed it myself. Drove 47 miles for my free oil change and issues I had with the vehicle like the back seat would not latch at all. When I stopped it always came and fell forward, could not seat a person there safely. After my free oil change I was apalled beyond words that my vehicle was returned to me with no less than 400 bird droppings all over the roof, hood, windows, lights, mirrors, tailgate, trim, bumper. No spot was spared! When I complained to lot boy that brought my car to me, he said "Yeah theres a bunch of birds nests in the tree we parked it under" So I leave my car for over 24 hours for a oil change and tire rotation and it comes back looking like it was featured in the movie "The Birds" with Tippi Hendren and that is supposed to be acceptable delivery to a customer? Then they didn't fix the seat latch problem but said come back next week. Right!!! I am going to drive another 47 miles each way Mission Viejo to Fontana for another rancid bird dumping? Trust me this dealership has serious issues. Find another Ford dealer. More

Sunrise Ford (Fontana)Re: 2004 Ford F250 Vin # 1FTNF20S84EB88910
Purchased on 29 March 2004.

Dear Michelle, when I purchased this truck on the above date it had a steering problem (pulls to the left). I was assured that it was a small problem and it would be taken care of. I did not take possession of the vehicle until the next day to give your maintenance department a chance to correct the problem. The truck was returned to me on the 30th of March with a guarantee that the problem had been solved. Please see invoice # 584004, tag # T7477.

Needles to say the problem is still there. I have put 40 miles on the odometer and I have hated every single one of those miles. Having to fight the truck in order to keep it going straight is not a good driving experience, specially for a new vehicle. I will be bringing the truck in for this and other problems this coming Wednesday 6 April 2004.

Michelle, this truck was brought in to your shop from San Diego Ca. by one of your service representatives…on the open road. And in so doing has compromised the engine and transmission brake-in procedure. I am a maintenance director for a fleet of military aircraft with a degree in physics and aircraft technology, and so I know my way around mechanical equipment. By driving this vehicle on the open road at freeway speeds for two hours with over inflated tires (85-90 psi), I know the engine, the steel belts in the tires, and the transmission where over heated and the lifespan of these components have been severely shortened or the components damaged. Not to mention the muffler of the vehicle, it shows signs of over heating as is evident by the discoloration. There is also paint missing on the rear axle just aft of the muffler (evidence of very hot substance coming of the muffler onto the rear axle).

The truck is now making a very loud metallic noise coming from the engine compartment when it is first started after sitting for a few days. Not sure what this is but it does not sound good.

Michelle, I hope we can settle this between us so that I’m not forced to take further steps to satisfy this complaint. We can meet and talk, I am a civil and reasonable person…and I would very much like to recommend your dealership to friends and family.

Yours truly,
Robert Soto

More
