Very Disappointing I called a week prior to needing the typical 30,000 mile service on my car. The lady I spoke with was very polite and helpful. Since the shop is open until 6:30 pm, I asked if I could get a late afternoon appt for the work. She said it would take at the absolute most 1.5 hours to complete, so a 4:30 pm appt was very do-able. I arrived on time for my appt and said I was there for 30,000 mile service. He asked if I had an appointment because normally they aren't done so late in the day. After telling him I had made an appointment, he pulled my pre-printed paperwork from a stack of papers, and grumbled about "the girls" need to be told not to schedule this service late in the day. He asked if I had been given an estimate, so I told him yes and how much. He then complained again that obviously the girls hadn't given me the right estimate because a lot of times the differential fluid needs to be changed, which is another (significant amount). I asked him to make sure the mecahnic wrote down the actual wear measurements for my brakes, and to not add pressure to my tires. He made note of those on the paperwork. After a reasonable amount of time, he came to me in the waiting area, and said the mechanic highly recommended the differential fluid be changed, so I agreed to it. Shortly before 6:00, I went to ask him a question, and during the conversation I saw my car being driven out of the bay, get parked, and the mechanic dropped off my key on his desk. He said my car would be done shortly, and I told him that actually I had just seen my car being pulled out while we were talking, and pointed my key out to him. He said to give him a minute so he could basically enter the work into the computer and prepare the bill. I stepped aside, and the customer behind me started asking him a question. I walked away, and after 10 minutes started checking on his progress thru the window. Other service employees were milling around, and he was still talking to the customer that was behind me, and had paid his bill. Another 5 minutes went by with no change, so I walked back into the service area. No other employees offered to help him out, or to assist in getting me on my way. When he was finally done talking to the customer that had been behind me, he started preparing my bill. He told me the tire pressure hadn't been touched, and that was probably the fastest 30,000 mile service he had seen... I said the mechanic probably wanted to get home. I asked wear the brake wear measurements were (I didn't see them on the receipt), and he said they hadn't been recorded, but didn't offer to get the mechanic and ask what they were. He gave me the standard "brake wear depends on your driving habits" routine, which made me wonder if the brake wear had even been checked, because the inspection wasn't listed on my receipt like other inspections. He couldn't even bring himself to say "thank you" when I left. In my opinion, he was quite rude to me and his co-workers (the lady that scheduled my appt). I won't go back and pay top dollar for questionable and rude service. More

In and out in 22 minutes!!! I hate waiting at dealerships for paperwork to get done, and financing to come through. It is usually a gigantic waste of time. I live in Kansas City and found the exact certified pre-owned CROSSTREK that I wanted at Subaru of Witchita. I sent in pictures of my trade, and worked out everything over the phone. Driving 2.5 hours to turn around and drive another2.5 hours was not my ideal way to end my week. However, I asked the dealership if they could get me in and out in 30 minutes or less. THEY DID IT! WITH TIME TO SPARE! They worked with me that way that worked for me. It was an awesome experience. I would recommend working with Preston, Sam, or Samuel the next time you are looking for a new car- they were amazing to work with! More

Not to give up hope, Smitty and everyone else at Subaru of Wichita attempted to find me this specific, difficult to acquire car to no avail. I came into car buying very closed-minded, but Smitty suggested I try some similar cars and we went through quite a few to still no avail. Throughout the entire arduous process, Smitty and everyone else at Subaru of Wichita treated me with the utmost respect even when it seemed like I would not purchase a car at all. I probably spent 20 hours in one week looking at different cars, and I was welcomed each time with welcoming smiles and friendly faces. Employees would call me by my first name and immediately give me an update on the search. I never intended to end up with the Subaru Impreza that I have now, but after trying 10+ cars and researching quite a bit, I determined that the Subaru make provides you with the best value. While a Subaru may cost more than another car in its class, no denial exists in safety, quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. You can see this by the fact that Subaru of Wichita backs each of their sales with the "Love It or Leave It" Money Back Guarantee that no other dealership I know of offers. I am a first time car buyer, but I did not come into car buying unaware of some of the unseemly parts of the process. I was surprised at the ease of negotiation, especially as a first time car buyer and young woman without anyone accompanying her. Subaru of Wichita offered me a fair and reasonable price without me having to ask and was willing to go to lengths to find the specific Subaru Impreza that I requested, including going through a dealer trade. When I picked up my car, Smitty and everyone else at Subaru of Wichita congratulated me on becoming a Subaru owner and walked me through everything that I needed to know as a new car owner. I have yet to experience Service at Subaru of Wichita, but I was walked through the process of setting up an appointment and I appreciate the convenience of online appointment booking. I came into Subaru of Wichita devastated that my specific, difficult to acquire car had been sold to another person, but left Subaru of Wichita ecstatic at becoming the proud owner of a Subaru. If that does not state the quality of this dealership, I do not know what does. The only thing I regret is not ringing the bell upon becoming a Subaru owner. More

I must have test drove 10 cars. Neither of them stopped helping until I finally said "this is the one". More

After checking out the Subaru line I was very excited to begin the new car purchase process. I wanted to ensure that I was getting the best deal possible. So, I checked out a few other dealerships. As soon as I pulled on the lot at other dealerships it was a game of how much do you want to spend versus the actual price of the car. Immediately set a negative experience with those dealerships. After checking out similar cars and gathering appraisals for my trade I went straight back to Subaru. From the moment I pulled on the lot until I left the lot I never felt any pressure to purchase a vehicle. I test drove the car multiple times as well as asked a hundred questions during the process. I could not be more pleased with the level of service and knowledge I received. Subaru worked with me on my trade in and gave me more for my car than it was worth to help offset the negative equity that I had in my car. No other dealership even came close to the trade in value I received. Whether you are looking for a $40,000 vehicle or a $4,000 vehicle you should ABSOLUTELY check out Subaru of Wichita. More

What I ended up getting was a used car, and it needed a few repairs. Three to be exact. Two they took care of the same day, but the third they're being really shady about. Promised to call me when they got the part in, but it's been a month and still no call. Called and emailed them about it since, and just keep getting "we'll have someone call you back". The repair is listed in the contract, so I have no doubt they'll do it eventually, but still knocking off a star for the gross disinterest I've been receiving since I signed the contract. More

Normal for us (we DO NOT have good credit AT ALL), has been: Hi....check your credit score....Oh...well, here are your options. Then,we get to look at very high mileage vehicles that we know if we buy, we might get about a year of no repairs needed. After that, repair after repair while still making monthly payments. Instead I was spoken to and treated like a first-class citizen, and given great options. Including a 2015 vehicle! All the while, these people held the door open, smiled, offered me lunch..most of all...my credit score was not an issue. We ended up purchasing a 2015 Kia, oh and they even helped us save money on our car AND renters insurance! My husband is a medically retired Wichita Police Officer, and was thanked more than once for his service. Amazing customer service, and you could tell this was the norm for them. I will recommend everyone I know to shop there first. More

Maybe some folks go for the snarky, cocky, winner-take-all, take-no-prisoners approach. Not me, or the people here at Subaru of Wichita. Think VALUE people. Checked out the main publications. Drove almost every mid size sedan make and learned tons and talked to at least one sales person at each dealership. Met a lot of great folks, but it amazed me how much turn over there is at car dealerships. Two salespeople were gone when I returned a few days later. They are often disorganized or too high pressure and it results in a very bad experience. Conversely Subaru of Wichita was a breath of new car air. Travis greeted me like an old friend, treated me with respect and tolerance and Adrian was incredibly wise, level-headed and knowledgable. You MUST talk to these two if you are buying a car. Start here, but more importantly end here! Buy here! I challenge anyone in Wichita to do more research and get better value than I did. They let me do a side by side comparison of another vehicle and let me test drive both on a dirt road so I could really feel the AWD and holy cow is it bad xxx!!! Purchased the Legacy limited and rocked that Harman Kardon stereo system down the road. The safety features including EyeSight were staggering and sets Subaru ahead of their competition. Sukarno was helpful too, and Mike Williams is great if you are looking for a used car. What are you saying? Yeah, I might be on a new car high, can't hear you very well because of the awesome music coming out of the speakers of my new Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited with Harman Kardon stereo system. Did I mention it had that :) More
