Broken Horn on my Subaru. Took it in and dropped it off in the morning. They had to order a part and I asked if I could just bring back the car and settle up then when the par Took it in and dropped it off in the morning. They had to order a part and I asked if I could just bring back the car and settle up then when the part arrived. I asked how much it would all be and they said between 240 and 300. Took care of back 3 days later when the part came in. Dropped off in the morning and they finished at 3:30. Went to pay and it was $622, double what they suggested. I was blown away, they said with diagnostics and install and part it was that much now. I paid it and drove away but it didn’t seem right to pay double what was suggested. I called back in and they agreed to remove diagnostic fee taking total back to $442. Still more the they said on Monday. Guess we just need better estimates. But $442 for broken horn seems nuts between part, labor. If I had know that it was more than $300, I likely would have waited until I had to have a horn and gotten work done. More
