Best Car Buying Experience in over 20 Years We are retired. We've purchased a number of cars over the years. We wanted a car that would be easy to get in and out of, and one that would make it e We are retired. We've purchased a number of cars over the years. We wanted a car that would be easy to get in and out of, and one that would make it easy to transport a walker and "stuff". We also wanted a car with state of the art safety features. We decided to explore various small SUV's, starting with Subaru, since they are rated tops in their various classes in Consumers Reports. We had no intention of buying on Monday. We met with Thompson M. on Monday 7/6. We sat down with him and explained our needs. He came up with two options . We also explained that we were just doing our leg work, and wanted to check with Subaru first. It should be noted that Mastro is not the closest Subaru dealer to our home, but we consulted this website. Mastro has significantly better reviews than the dealer nearest to our home. Thompson reviewed with us the Forester and the Outback. We test drove both. We've owned small SUV's before, notably a Honda CRV, and a Toyota RAV4. Both are fine cars. The Outback is a cut above anything we have ever driven. The ride is exquisite. It's not like an SUV, yet the vehicle is perfect for our needs. The Forester is a very nice capable car, but the Outback ride is superior. We had a trade, and new what that car was worth. We liked the price Mastro proposed for the trade, thought Mastro's price for the Outback was very fair, so we decided we weren't going to find anything better than the Outback. Thompson exerted no pressure. He. did a terrific job in meeting our needs. And we didn't have to go back and forth on price. we picked the car up the following Wednesday, and worked with Julio A. on all the paperwork. Again, no pressure. He was very easy to work with. Afterwards, Thompson sat in the car with us and explained how everything worked. I can't say enough good things about these people. More
