In No Man's Land So, the first lease I signed (09/04/16) was approved while I was on the dealership floor and I was told specifically that it had been approved. I then received a letter from Chase Bank stating that the vehicle lease was declined because "VALUE OF VEHICLE IS INSUFFICIENT RELATIVE TO REQUESTED LOAN AMOUNT." I called in and spoke with Samantha, who said that the computer showed that I was approved and that I would need to speak to Richard, who did the deal the day I leased the car. I called Richard, my finance person, repeatedly and he gave me about three different explanations for what happened. Clearly I was not ever told the truth at any time. Ultimately, I had to come into your dealership and re-sign another lease. This was done with Arjahn. He told me that there would be absolutely no problem with this lease. On September 29, 2016, I received written notice from my insurance company that the CA DMV records do not match my submission for insurance as I am not the registered owner. I am subject to state fines and suspension of my driving privileges. In addition, as my first payment would be due October 4, 2016 and I have received nothing in terms of an account number or payment information, I called Subaru Motors Finance this morning to make inquiry. I was told that there was nothing whatsoever in their system and as far they know, I have no lease. Further, I have had no less than 4 hard credit inquiries because of all of this, which has negatively impacted my credit. Indeed, there has been a 40 point drop in 25 days. 1 inquiry from your dealership, two from Chase, and one, inexplicably from Good Son SM, LLC. (Who is that ? I have never heard of them and certainly never authorized them to access my credit report.) I have already sold the vehicle I had and have detrimentally relied on your dealership and the representations made. I have lost sleep over all of this, am very upset and have lost time from work. For example, I bill by the hour in my job and lost significant money when I came in to re-sign after waiting and waiting for Arjahn to be available, only then to hear from him that he's the one that has to clean up the messes of everyone else and that they just left my folder on his chair to deal with. Apparently, he failed to properly do so. More
It far surpassed my expectations. I had not purchased a new car since 1982 and was a little apprehensive but Maria Cerceda was wonderful! Desired vehicle at the right price I shopped for a Forester on line and was answered by five Subaru dealerships, including Santa Monica Subaru. Three stated that they had the specified vehicle in stock. The result was that Santa Monica Subaru really did have the right vehicle, and at a very fair price. Jefferey Marcus and Seth Chadwick were my contacts and both could not have been more helpful. Chad gave a comprehensive tutorial and intelligently answered all my questions. Additional questions after I drove away were readily answered by Seth via his mobile phone. As automobile dealerships go, and I have dealt with several, Santa Monica Subaru is at the top. More

It wasn't until I talked to Frank and Maria at the Santa Monica Location that they went above and beyond to get me the exact car I wanted and didn't try to push any additional features that I did not want. When I say above and beyond, I mean they found and brought my car all the way from San Diego for me! Exceptional team and service!!! More
