We recently purchased our Minivan from Stokes Honda and was assured that since we bought it there would be treated wonderfully in the service department. I tried calling 6 times the day before to make an a was assured that since we bought it there would be treated wonderfully in the service department. I tried calling 6 times the day before to make an appointment before someone answered the phone. I explained I needed the first service and to have a piece of weatherstripping on the window checked. I was told no problem that would take 30-45 minutes. When I arrived Tuesday morning I was at first ignored completely and then finally was told to wait inside and someone would be right with me. I walked inside to find several people on their computers and one guy on the phone. The guy who originally told me he would be right with me proceeded to help someone else who also stated she called at least 6 times to make an appointment. This man proceeded to tell us both we were wrong and there was no way we could have experienced that. Then, when I explained to him that I had been waiting and very disappointed in being ignored, and to just put the hood of my car down I would rather drive down to the other dealer and be tended to than ignored he got mad at me and was very short. I was in a hurry as I had another appointment based on what they told me time-wise, so agreed to stay since he said it would still take only 30 minutes (I had already been waiting 15 minutes to be served). When I mentioned the weatherstripping he proceeded to get shot with me again saying he needed well over an hour and that I would not have brought that up with him but when i made the appointment.I told him I did tell them and they said no problem 30-45 minutes. At that point he was obviously mad again. So I jsut opted to have them do the oil so I could get out of there. He did give me his card and told me to call him - not a chance will I do that - to fix the weather stripping. The oil was changed within the thirty minutes which I appreciated, but when I got the bill it was over $50 just to have the oil changed. Now, in the past no matter where I have purchased the car the first service has always been complimentary (oil change and check levels). I don;t even mind paying but it would have been nice to let me know so I could have found a coupon to make it a price I could have gotten anywhere else. I will no longer be using Stokes Honda for anything and am happy to let my friends know what happened so they avoid my mistake. Thanks you for taking the time to read this. More

Great follow-up with appt. confirmation. Car was taken on-time and worked on promptly. Dan explained in detail what needed to be done. Cleve mize the parts and serve manager stepped in and saved the day from less than acceptable auto tech and service agent. The service agent and tech told me that i needed break pad's for the rear break saved the day from less than acceptable auto tech and service agent. The service agent and tech told me that i needed break pad's for the rear breaks. I then asked why I needed them and I was told it was the router and might have to replace the pads again in a month or so ????? I said this makes no sense. They then stated that they would take it for a test drive?? I then asked what are you talking about and it was finally explained that the rear tire was never removed ?????? Mr. Mize then stepped and and did a great job of apologizing for the employees actions and stated that this was not the normal practice at stokes Honda. The employee did not follow Honda protocol and would be reprimanded for his actions. More
Put the car in the shop for just a regular service but when I tried to start it the next morning the battery seemed to be dead. I had to take it back the next day. I have a feeling my battery was either swapped out or used in some fashion because the battery is just over 2 years old. I'm wondering what they will come back and tell me today. This wouldn't be the first car I got rid of because of the service I rcvd from the dealership. I believed they shuffled my car through the shop as quickly as they could. Jerry More
