The 2015 Sonata SE we wanted was priced at about 17K online(for about a week), but when we called to say we wanted to buy it, the manager (Joey) said they had priced it in error and not to bother to come. We were coming from Reno, so they would make sure to change the price before we could get there. Aside from not wanting to honor the online advertised price, the really strange thing was this manager told us not to bother to drive down and that they did not want to sell us this car, or for that matter, any other car. He did not offer other cars as alternatives and did not even seem interested in seeing if we wanted the car at the corrected price. He went on to say we should be buying locally, instead. Really?!??? I have never had a car dealership actively discourage me from buying a car and insist that it is better for us to buy a car somewhere else. As it so happens, the type of car we want (PZEV) is very hard to find in our state, unlike in California, which is why we were headed there in the first place. It is a mystery as to how these folks stay in business with that attitude. I can promise you that their competitors will not be refusing to honor listed prices and making us feel unwelcome, and we will be buying a new Sonata from one of them this week for sure. More

Once we found exactly what I wanted/needed, determined my budget and worked out a price agreeable to both parties...the process was smooth and stress free. I'd recommend my salesman Sonny and the GM Joey to anyone. They were professional, personable and just plain nice. They made it an enjoyable experience. Even the paperwork/contract signing...so many pages...was fun (that guy was awesome)! It would be my pleasure to recommend Stockton Hyundai to friends and family alike. My mom was so impressed she made her famous homemade lasagna and brought it to them. Thank you Stockton Hyundai...and Merry Christmas! More

HORRIFIC My salesman stated the car I purchased came with a $5000.00 rebate. All purchase documents stated $5000.00 rebate signed off by sales mgr and GM. Thr My salesman stated the car I purchased came with a $5000.00 rebate. All purchase documents stated $5000.00 rebate signed off by sales mgr and GM. Three days after purchased received phone call from dealership stating there was a mistake with the rebate. A $3,000.00 error. That the contract was no longer valid and I needed to pay the $3000.00 or return the car. The next day I called to speak with the GM was given the sale mgr who stated that he did not know anything about the rebate problem that he would go pull my file and return my call within 30 minutes. He never called back. Later the same day the salesman called to see how I liked the car. I advised him that I was not sure if I had a car or not and relayed the rebate issue. He said he knew nothing about it and would find out and call me back. The next day I have an email from the GM thanking me for my car purchase. I called the GM he was not available left a message to return my call. He never did. I responded to this email and requested that he call me. He never did. About 30 minutes from the time I sent the email, the salesman called to say everything was fine with the rebate issue. My car was to be financed with my Credit Union. I kept checking with them to see if they had received the loan documents. By day 16 of the car purchase my Credit Union had still not received any loan documents. I received in the mail a notice that my loan is through Ally. This dealership verbally assured me and in writing that my loan would be with my Credit Union. I am EXTREMELY UPSET this dealership has lied and placed my car loan with someone I did not authorize or request. Tried to exhort an additional $3,000.00 - never would return my calls. I have no idea what the loan documents are with Ally. I prepaid for the service maintenance ($1595.00) which now I wish I had not because it is nonrefundable and I will have to take my car there to be serviced. I have emailed the Regional Manager Nicole Felix detailing my HORRIFIC and EXTREMELY UPSETTING experience asking for her assistance. More
