This service manager I had was the worst service manager you could hire. Unprofessional and incompetent. He was not a people person. Mr. Christopher Harden should be fire. My truck still has the same proble you could hire. Unprofessional and incompetent. He was not a people person. Mr. Christopher Harden should be fire. My truck still has the same problem. I waited for a response before I posted this but got no response from the GM. I came in a few weeks ago to purchase a vehicle I saw online. I have been searching for this specific vehicle for years but the response from the GM. I came in a few weeks ago to purchase a vehicle I saw online. I have been searching for this specific vehicle for years but they are usually over my budget. This one was within my budget so I went to go see it. I went in knowing there would be a chance I would not be approved as the vehicle had high mileage and I have been repairing my credit for the last few years. The sales person helping me told me I was approved and gave me a print out with my interest rate and payments. It was in my budget range so I said I wanted to purchase the car. Sat there for an hour or so waiting in line to go into finance. They told me their system crashed so they were going to write me a BVA(Borrowed Vehicle Agreement) for the car and asked me to come back the following day to sign the rest of the paperwork. I asked again at this point to clarify that I was approved and there were no issues with the financing. They said yes, you're approved, the system is just down. Come back the next night to sign and I'm then told the vehicle had to have parts put on before I could take official delivery of the vehicle and I would be put into another BVA for my trade in vehicle. I asked again at this point. Should I get all my things out of the vehicle, am I approved, and is there an issue with the finance application? I was promised by both the used car manager and the sales person. There is no issue with the financing, I am approved, and the vehicle is definitely mine. I left all of my things in the vehicle. I was promised it would be ready for pick up by Thursday night so I can go on my beach trip I had planned that weekend. For the next three days I never got any kind of updates or calls with what was happening. When I called, the used car manager never called me back as I had requested and the sales person helping me seemed irritated and would tell me they did not have an answer yet. Thursday afternoon before leaving work I called again, my sales person was off that day. Another sales person answered and was extremely friendly, sympathetic, and he promised to find out what is happening with the vehicle and call me back shortly. He is the only person who returned my phone call. He told me that I was never approved and that they had been working on approvals all week and that is the truth. I am not upset about not being approved. I knew that was a possibility when I went and why I asked more than once before leaving. I was not upset that parts had to be installed because I work in used cars and sometimes a car gets sold before the repairs are completed. I was upset that I was lied to and ignored for almost an entire week. A lot of this could have been avoided with some honesty up front. I would not have left all of my things in the car. I had to cancel my beach vacation because I could not go without a license plate because that had been taken off and was in the car at the dealership. The entire situation made me feel so small and taken advantage of. I did not know dealerships still tried puppy dogging people into buying cars. Tell you you're approved when you're not. Let you drive it home. Fall in love with it. Try to make you find a cosigner in order to keep it. No. Not me. Find a more honest dealership. More
James in service was fantastic. 5 stars for James. When Ford does a recall that’s not the vehicle owners problem. It’s Fords problem. When you call to schedule for the recall repai 5 stars for James. When Ford does a recall that’s not the vehicle owners problem. It’s Fords problem. When you call to schedule for the recall repair, the call center is robotic and following a script. They say: “you need to leave the truck for 7-10 days and we will look at it .” What???? Who says this. Then…. I asked for a rental car and they said “no”. It gets worse. I get a ride to drop off my truck and when I am checking in they tell me that they don’t have the part to complete the recall. Either there is no process, the call center is confused, or they just don’t care anymore. I think it’s all three. Is customer service dead post COVID? Come on Ford….. you can be better than this. If you don’t have parts to complete the recall make it a warning on the computer so the call center doesn’t make people bring the vehicle for no reason after having made arrangements fo be without the vehicle for 7-10 days. I can’t believe I am trying this suggestion as it’s so logical. This is communication and customer service 101. Please fix this for your customers. In addition, it seems like dealerships are way understaffed and the turnover rate is high. This should be a top priority to resolve. Once again….. James was awesome. Thank you, James. The quality of repair is good from this dealership. They just need to fix the communication and scheduling issue in the call center along with the process for recall repairs. Customer can’t just leave their vehicle for 7-10 days. Make sure you have the part and give the customer committed time slot for repair. Thank you. More
This dealership has great service. James was friendly and polite, and as a customer without and appointment, he was right on time in guessing how long it would take to fix my SUV.
