Needs A Detail Shop Better Detail Department I Had My Vehicle Detailed At Stivers Ford In Montgomery, Al I Really Loved My Car The Guys Did An Awesome Job.When I Tel Better Detail Department I Had My Vehicle Detailed At Stivers Ford In Montgomery, Al I Really Loved My Car The Guys Did An Awesome Job.When I Tell You My Car Was So Nasty I Was Really Too Embarrassed To Take It To Be Detailed Had To Build My Nerve, To Make A Long Story Short After Waiting On My Car For An Hour I Asked Could I Know The Location Of The Detail Department, I Didn't Know It Would Take That Long. Me And My Husband Went Around Back, I Noticed My Car Being Detailed So I Asked Is This The Detail Area Or Where Do Y'all Detail At? A Young Man Said "Yes Ma'am Can I Help You With Anything?" So I Said " I Was Just Wondering How Long Will You Be On My Car"? The Young Man Replied "Ma'am As You Can See It's 96° Degrees Out Here Today And It's Draining Me . So My Husband Was Like Hunny "These Guys Don't Even Have Much Room Back Here To Do Anything", It Was About Six Guys Back There Working ,Two Cars Was Being Detail Under A Small Shed Porch And The Guy That Was detailing My Car Was Detailing It In Direct Sunlight!! So Were The Other Guys That Couldn't Escape The Sun, My Husband Asked One Guy " How Do Y'all Keep Cool ?" The Guy Replied (While Sweat Is Dripping From His Face) "Sometime We Have To Leave Customers Cars Running To Keep Cool. It's Very Hard Back Here. The Service Department, Mechanics, Salesman ETC. All Work Comfortable On The Inside. When It's Freezing Cold We Don't Have Anywhere To Keep Warm, When Its 90°+ Weather We Can't Keep Cool As You Both can See". That Really Shocked Me , My Husband And I Went An Bought Those Guys Gatorades And Bottle Waters Because I Feel Like They Deserve Better When Their Working Just As Hard As Anyone Else That Works At Stivers Ford. To Be Working Out In Direct Heat With No Water Fountain And No Where To Keep Warm Or Cool. I Pray It Better For Those Guys!! More
Poor diagnostic skills The WORST service department. So bad i hate that it won't let me leave a zero star review... one star is the lowest. Had 2010 Explorer towed into d The WORST service department. So bad i hate that it won't let me leave a zero star review... one star is the lowest. Had 2010 Explorer towed into dealership because it lost power... engine still running, but did not respond to throttle. They ran diagnostic and said throttle body had gone bad. I paid $950. Two weeks later exact same thing happened so i towed it to them AGAIN and they said the NEW throttle body was a bad part. Sounded strange to me but ok, they put ANOTHER new throttle body on and a few weeks later SAME thing happened. This time i took it to Auburn Ford place and told the service department what was happening and to please do a full diagnostic because apparently Stivers ford in montgomery didn't know what the xxxx they were doing... called me a few days later and said the PCM was bad... throttle body was NEVER the problem. Called stivers ford about my $950 that i spent to replace parts that did not need replacing and was told, after much negotiation, that they would give me $199 credit if i bring it to them again! WHAT A JOKE THIS SERVICE DEPT IS!!! Instead of full diagnostic they just throw parts at it. I had to pay out of pocket towing multiple times and was in dangerous situation with stalling because service dept at stivers is clearly incompetent. Avoid at all costs. More

Shelby Parker waited on me and was very courteous and professional - no doubt very knowledgeable about all aspects of the operation and his job. He kept me informed about what was going on as my truck was serviced and made recommendations as to what I may need to do in the future for a specific issue. Mr. Parker is an asset to the Ford service team! More
Service I really appreciate Scott in the service department he’s always very helpful and make sure that we have what we need and are very well taken care of I really appreciate Scott in the service department he’s always very helpful and make sure that we have what we need and are very well taken care of . But when it comes to buying or trading a car not my favorite I have purchased two brand new cars from them and my husband has as well . My first car I purchased from them was an MKC I traded it in for a Lincoln navigator I lost my butt horribly I would never do that again . Now I have a Lincoln navigator and would love to trade it in for one of the newer models but considering they won’t even offer me a fair deal to trade in I wouldn’t consider it . My husband has an F2 50 that we paid cash for and now I just hit 100,000 miles and they’re telling us it will cost around $14,000 to fix . This is after we just paid $3000 to fix another part they told us that needed to be fixed . do not feel as if they give a fair trade in value considering it is their vehicles and other companies offer me more. but when it comes to buying or trading I don’t highly recommend . False information. I purchased a 2017 Ford Focus SE. They sent me an email saying that I was approved for a $25,000-35,000 loan no money down. I get there. Everything we I purchased a 2017 Ford Focus SE. They sent me an email saying that I was approved for a $25,000-35,000 loan no money down. I get there. Everything went great .Although it was a read flag when they had my cosigner fill out everything as if its their car. A year later. I found out the salesman which no longer works there had written that I put down $3,500. So now they are trying to sue my cosigner for something that happened on their end. Never in my life would go back or recommend to anyone! More

I went as far as to call to verify that the price we negotiated would be the same price before financing. I was assured by TWO salesman (via TEXT, CALLS, AND EMAILS) that it would indeed be that price when I arrived. Everything was smooth until it was time to sign for the car. The price was most certainly not the same. Instead of righting the wrongs of his team, the manager (who was extremely loud & obnoxious) played back a recording of the phone conversation that took place with one of the salesman. He literally heard his salesman verbatim say everything that I had told him took place and still refused to honor the commitment. The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. To be lied to after driving over FOUR HOURS to do business. Con artistry at its finest!! More
Do Not Buy From Stivers Ford Montgomery, AL. I am Internet shopping for a new vehicle and place several inquiries online to dealerships for the particular model I want. I was particularly intere I am Internet shopping for a new vehicle and place several inquiries online to dealerships for the particular model I want. I was particularly interested in this one at Stivers, due to its being listed for a discount at nearly $5,000 below MSRP, which is extremely rare for this model. I receive a call from Jay Johnson, an employee, of Stivers Ford at 11:03am EST on Monday due to a request for more information on a vehicle they have listed on their website. I was informed that the vehicle was going to be kept by the owner of the dealership for his “collection.” While still on the phone Mr. Johnson mentions that the vehicle I was interested in wasn’t that same as the one the owner decided to keep, I asked for photos of the vehicle via text message. I called back to inquire about the pictures at 11:16am EST and Mr. Johnson mentioned being in a meeting and he was “going to take them now” or words to that effect. I finally receive a call back from Mr. Johnson at 12:05pm EST stating that the vehicle listed on their website is in fact the same one the owner decided to keep for his “collection.” Mr. Johnson ensured me they could order another one or have it allocated from another dealership. I reiterated that I was interested in that specific model with all the same options for the same price and he was extremely adamant that it could be acquired and sold at the same price as listed on the Stivers Ford website. I was extremely clear that I would be driving 90 minutes one way to make this deal and was met with total reassurance that having the vehicle in the week was possible. After the 74 mile journey to Montgomery, AL from Fort Benning, GA I asked the receptionist for Jay Johnson, and she says no one by that name works there (not a good sign). I call Mr. Johnson and he answers as he is walking by and I flag him down. I shake his hand and use the restroom after the drive. I return to Mr. Johnson and he hands me of to a Sales Associate named Marcus Boyd. My first words with Mr. Boyd are that I am excited to get this vehicle and he said “hopefully we can” or words to that effect. I replied that I want definite not maybe and I didn’t drive 90 minutes for “hopefully.” Mr. Boyd stood up and walked away. I over hear a gentleman, that I end up dealing with more that day, which identified himself as the Floor Manager Erik Stlher. Mr. Stlher said “we can’t get that car” or words to that effect. Since this conversation didn’t involve me I interrupted and asked to be informed why I drove so far and wasted my time after I was affirmed twice it was possible to purchase the vehicle. I mentioned to Mr. Stlher that I would go outside to calm down, seeing this information is the exact opposite of my expectation. I walk back inside and Mr. Stlher says that he “has good news” or words to that effect and that Mr. Eddie Stivers (Owner of Stivers Ford) would sell me his car from his “private collection” for $30,000 over MSRP which is approximately $35,000 above the internet listed price (which I have attached a screenshot of.) I am obviously agitated and mentioned that regardless of owning a dealership and being able to do what he wants, that $99,000ish price tag for a car they had listed for $65,000ish is a dirtbag move. I was reminded this was a sale from his “private collection” and Eddie Stivers was doing me a “favor” offering the vehicle to me because there were only 300 to be produced this year. This type of behavior is reprehensible and Eddie Stivers doesn’t deserve your business. Capitalism is one thing, but wasting about four hours of a potential customer’s time and then saying “good news” is gouging a customer for $35,000 above MSRP is unprofessional and just plain dirty. Do Not Buy From Stivers Ford!!! TL:DR, I was assured I could purchase a car for a price and was met with a “deal” for $35,000 above MSRP, 4 hours of my day and a tank of gas after coming off a 24 hour shift wasted. More
Watch Out for Bait and Switch. I thought I purchased a 2018 Ford F150 from This dealership thru Michael Bishop, who in my opinion, is a very poor salesperson. I was purchasing by internet and Michael sent me a proposal which I agreed to. It was the truck I really wanted. I told all my friends that I had bought a new truck, I was very happy. Well a day and a half later, I received an email from this so called salesperson that he needed to talk to me and to please call him, which I did. Well, he told me that the truck that I agreed to buy had already been sold 2 weeks prior and he was not aware of, but he had others that I might like. Another words, he did a bait and switch on me. I was very pissed and told him no thanks. To me, if salespeople like this represent the company they work for, I would not buy from that company. I am posting this because in my opinion this should not have occurred and want to caution other about this. Oh, by the way, I bought a 2018 Ford F150 from another Ford dealership n Texas. Might not have received the same giant discount, but at least they were honest and fair with me. More
