***Maybe my 5th review ever in my 55 years of life. *** meaning it’s been my worst experience at a car dealer service department. I’ve owned new cars all my life so I have had many service department experiences. Back in early 2024 I dropped my car ev off for a software update, 3 days later I finally got my car back. I kept asking for a loaner but they said they didn’t have any loaners so I was left without a car the whole time. I Brought my car back for its final software update in April. This time I managed to get a loaner (full-size Chevy truck), knowing there was a high possibility of keeping the car for a while since my last experience. I called three days later and ended up finding out that after 3 days they had not even touched the car. By then it was Friday and I had to wait until Monday. Rick and I had a discussion about the uselessness of having an appt if they were not going to get to my car. He said since ev’s are rare and they only had one ev tech, appointments were only a drop off appointment and they would get to it when they could. Wouldn’t it be wise if he had specific appointments for electric vehicles vs adding me to a typical car appt, especially since an ev tech was not going to be open for at least 3 days later. I’m used to making an appt for that specific appt time and my car being worked on immediately to minimize the time an owner is kept without a car. While I was given a loaner (full size Chevy truck). The loaner cost me an approx $70 if not more compared to my ev charging cost. For a software update that the car needed. It wasn’t my fault and I ended up without my car for over 5 days and ended up paying for fuel for the full size truck loaner. This is unacceptable considering the software update is a four hour process. Rick didn’t bother to update me on the process, I had to literally call him for updates on the car. He has very poor communication skills and made the situation even worse by not communicating on my cars status. I’ve always looked up to Stingray Chevrolet BUT twice in the row it has failed in every aspect they could fail on. I would be more than happy to share more if needed. More

No regular communication from service writer letting you know whether your part is in or not. Customer Service Manager didn't explain that if you drop off your car to be repaired it wont be until after the know whether your part is in or not. Then when I showed up to get my car because I could not wait as I needed it to get my wife to a doctors appointment, She tells me not ton talk to her like she is Satan... got new appointment for the following week, went in and was going to wait on it this time, was there 45 minutes all to find out the part they had for my car was damaged and could not make the repair with no idea as to when the new part will be in.. More
I had been that I could have the truck brought in on Tuesday and they might be able to do a diagnostic test sometime that week but they might not be able to repair until the next week. Had the truck towed in and got a call a few hours later that they know the problem and would have it ready either that day or the next. I was absolutely ecstatic to have it done so soon. More
Waiting area is always comfortable. Staff keeps you updated on the progress. Advisor lets you know of maintenance that is due and explains any issues with your vehicle. Luis Tur is a great employee and a asset to Sting Ray. I have dealt with another close by dealer and have been greatly disappointed. If I buy another Corvette I will go to Sting Ray first. I think I would’ve left a better review, but my truck was literally in there for five days and nothing was done to it.
