Omer was a great salesperson. He helped us test drive the car and was very knowledgeable about all of the features. He also was very responsive when working on a deal with us. Sharing my experience so you don't fall like I did. Purchased a brand new vehicle, or so I thought. Sadly, a few things didn't go according to what I had hoped for. The people have been very respectful Purchased a brand new vehicle, or so I thought. Sadly, a few things didn't go according to what I had hoped for. The people have been very respectful, but I think there were some strange parts when we were negotiating that I didn't realize was strange until we finished the whole purchase. 1. Offering same car to someone else: When we were negotiating, someone else in the office next to us was considering putting an offer down on the exact car that I was purchasing. I even stepped out to look and there was no one there. At some point, I asked him, is that other guy still here negotiating? How are you going to try to have us negotiate while someone else is negotiating for the exact same car on the lot? Strange... 2. Test drive both locally and on freeway: We didn't get to test drive vehicle on the freeway and took a local route for 5 minutes. When we drove it on the freeway on the way home, there was a whistle. 3. Perform walkaround of car PRIOR to purchase: This is probably an even bigger one: The sales guy completed the full walk-around inspection of the car AFTER we purchased the car. Turns out there were multiple dents/scratches on the car (1 on the rim and 1 on the door). The sales guy said he wanted to ensure the car was delivered in perfect condition, so I had to bring the car in to the dealer the following week and get those damages fixed. Found out they drove my car 30 miles away to a shop in Gilroy. They returned the car a week later and the scratches/dents were not 100% resolved. At this point, they say they need to replace the part on the door and they would try to remove the scratches from the wheel. I get the car back, and the wheel still has the scratch. They tried to resolve it multiple times, and still could not deliver 100% sadly. If only we did a walk through prior to making payment. 4. Don't forget your initial conversations with other discount programs: I originally initiated the conversation w/ the dealership through the Costco Auto Program, but when we went in person, they did not mention anything about the program's discount. Maybe I received a better deal than what Costco would have offered, but I found that strange. 5. Dirty Loaner Vehicle: When I got a loaner vehicle from the Service Center, it was so dirty. Sticky residue in the cupholders, and empty soda cans/trash inside the armrest. Conclusion: We learned after that the car had been sitting on the load for around 50 days and it already had 48 miles so I should have realized that this car wasn't selling. On the bright side, I got the car that I wanted and I really like the car and received a 3k off MSRP (before any of the damages were identified). More
Everything is really good. Marco took good care of me when I had no prior experience in leasing a car, he explained me everything in detail. Marco took good care of me when I had no prior experience in leasing a car, he explained me everything in detail. More
Working with everyone there was great; they were all knowledgeable and friendly on the sales side and did not overly pressure me; the contract process was mostly smooth and efficient. HOWEVER, as negat knowledgeable and friendly on the sales side and did not overly pressure me; the contract process was mostly smooth and efficient. HOWEVER, as negatives, they do not accept credit cards (even for a lease downpayment) but rather only debit or ECH (really? Hyundai needs to advance to the 20th century). Also, when it came time to sign the contracts, I did feel a bit of hard sell on being pressured to purchase maintenance, lease cost protection, and all the "optional insurances" they use to try to drive up profit.
