I have dealt with such an unprofessional dealership service department in my life. My cousin took my truck in to get warranty work done to my AC as it was not blowing cold air or strong either. I received a phone call on 07/17/24 at 6 PM from Ruben my service advisor. He explained to me that I had to authorize 2 labor hours ($360) so the technician can tear apart my front end and see if there is any damage or a leak. I told him that my truck was still well under the warranty and I didn't understand why I had to pay for them to look at it. Ruben said that was how they handled things at this location. I told him I would not authorize it, but still wanted my truck looked at. Ruben said that since I was not going to pay that I could come pick up my truck as they would not be looking at it anymore. I told him I would have someone there in the morning to get it. My cousin was there first thing in the morning (7:30 AM) to pick it up and take it to a different dealer. Ruben told my cousin the technician had my keys and would be in around 8 AM. I was severely disturbed knowing that the technician had sole possession of my keys and were not given back to the service advisors to be put in a central location as other dealers commonly practice. The technician finally arrived and handed Ruben my keys and made sure to tell him to be sure and charge the diagnostic fee ($160). My cousin told Ruben he would not be paying as they did not do anything and it was warranty work from the beginning. Ruben told him he would not be releasing my truck without payment. Ruben said he would waive the fee this time, but said they would be xxxxxxx all the freon out of my system, as they performed a dye test to check for leaks and wanted their freon back as we would not be paying. They made my cousin wait over an hour while they performed this action. I have never heard of this being done anywhere. I hope nothing is damaged from them draining my freon out of my system. I asked to speak to a manager and did not hear from one. I received a phone call from senior advisor Elizabeth instead. I appreciate her reaching out, but am extremely disappointed a manager could not take the time to return a call. I than called back to speak to the General Manager and was told they were not available at the moment, but would return my call by end of day. I am writing this at end of day and never received a phone. I find it disturbing that no one in management seems to want to rectify the situation or offer an explanation to these shady practices. My cousin sent me a picture of my truck in their lot before he left showing my truck full of grass clippings. I expect my truck to be in good hands when at a dealership, I did not expect blatant carelessness of any ones vehicle. More
