Hi pahunterjls, We’re very sorry to hear about your experience! When you had been here for the inspection on 12/8/18, the rear brakes were measured at 7/32, the front and rear tires were measured at 5/32, and the mileage out was 32,020. As the service advisor explained, the rear brakes needed replaced because they had rusted over winter. As for the tires, when you had been here for service on 5/24/19, our techs did, in fact, erroneously measure the tire tread depth. We do apologize for this and will be retraining to ensure this doesn’t happen again. However, the tires did decrease from 5/32 in the front and rear to 1/32 in the front and 2/32 in the rear when we measured again with the mileage at 35,105, an increase of 3,000 miles. We provide these measurements so you have all available options to ensure your vehicle is as safe as possible. Our Service Advisors are not paid commission so they have no incentive to push additional sales. That is not part of the philosophy we embody.
