I brought my GMC Acadia in for two different problems-My AC, temp gauge ,and monitors in my car were not working. My monitors are still not fixed properly. The screens are still making noise and bouncing back and forth between screens etc. so only the temperature gauge was replaced and fixed. It was extremely difficult to get an appointment to get my Acadia in to the shop to begin with and now to have to reschedule another appointment I am sure will take another several weeks. I have taken my vehicle to GMC Southern since I purchased it 6 years ago and I was told when I tried to schedule it originally they were booked with appointments for "oil changes" for over 4-6 weeks. At the time my maintenance light had come on, my temperature gauge had stopped working all of a sudden and the monitors had started going haywire. I was very disappointed in the service I received and the fact that I had to speak with a supervisor to get an earlier appointment was disappointing. We just purchased a new truck and decided against a GMC specifically because of the service we had received from the dept. and went with a Toyota Tundra. I would not recommend Southern again in the future for this reason. The response we keep hearing is that "people are quitting are quitting" and they "no longer have people to service vehicles". That is a shame. Also my vehicle was apparently ready on day 4 however the person had "quit" again and no one called during the holiday weekend to tell my husband until he called the following Monday so they had my vehicle for a week. (I was out of town) More
