I like the dealership. But I went in for a recall. And now my Jeep will not do electric. It goes straight to gas. But I went in for a recall. And now my Jeep will not do electric. It goes straight to gas. More
On Wednesday (19 Feb 2025) at approximately 11:45 am, I had dropped my 2020 Dodge Ram off to be inspected for a ticking noise coming from the engine and to tighten the front suspension. Snowstorm hit the n had dropped my 2020 Dodge Ram off to be inspected for a ticking noise coming from the engine and to tighten the front suspension. Snowstorm hit the next day which delayed the inspection. Heard from Mike on Friday at 4:26 pm that they were unable to get to my truck, however it was in the shop and would be inspected come first thing Monday if I chose to leave it there. So, I decided to leave it there over the weekend. Heard back again from Mike on Monday at 8:39 am and received a quote for numerous other things to be done to my truck instead of addressing/taking care of my main concern I initially drove there for. Additionally, I was informed they are starting the truck up but still can't hear no ticking noise. I clearly explained I heard the ticking noise when driving when we initially talked prior to dropping truck off for service. He informed me they would continue to start the truck up and see if they could hear it. I reinformed Mike the noise was more prominent when driving. I also explained I had seen white smoke on some cold start-ups which had concerned me. He informed me that when it is cold outside that I would see white smoke. I informed Mike that I knew that, and on the day's I had started my truck, it was too warm outside for this to occur. This statement had me thinking my intelligence was being questioned. Besides the point, I told him to have the mechanic take the truck for a drive when he/she gets the chance, and they'll notice the noise. On Monday at approximately 2:30 pm I called Mike and asked if there was anything update. He informed me there still was nothing they could see. I asked if the mechanic had taken the truck for a test drive and he informed me no. I asked him if I could drive up there and have a mechanic take a drive with me. He paused for a second and said sure. So I left work early and got to the dealership around 15:45 on Monday and took the mechanic for a ride. The mechanic in fact heard the ticking noise I had been stressing my concern to Mike about. I also decided to ask the mechanic if on any cold start-ups if he had seen any white smoke come from the exhaust, and the mechanic confirmed he in fact did. Of note: the mechanic also informed me of a loaner vehicle since my truck is under warranty, and Mike had not. Why did Mike not inform me of any this? Is he talking with the mechanics who are performing maintenance on people's vehicles and correctly informing customers of what is really being done or not done? When the mechanic and I got back from the test drive, I met with Mike and he did not look excited. He informed me that it would be a couple weeks for the part to come in since it was on backorder. I inquired about the loaner which he was quick to say they are all out and no telling when one would be back. I told Mike okay, I'll leave the truck and to have the mechanic re-torque my front suspension and to do the oil change at least. Mike acknowledged and said he'd call me the next day once completed. On Tuesday at 3:22 pm I called Mike to see if the truck was ready. He informed me nothing (re-torquing suspension and oil change) was performed. Completely disappointed at this point as I had been nothing but patient and very respectful. Bottom line up front: I drove up to the dealership to get inspected for concerning ticking noise coming from engine and to re-torque front suspension. He informed me of additional maintenance and never addressed my initial concern. Rented a vehicle for Monday and Tuesday which was a wasted expense as nothing being performed on my truck as agreed upon from Mondays visit (torque suspension and oil change). Took multiple trips to the dealership, took time off from work, and wasted money on a rental... all for nothing! More
