Mikul was awesome. He went above and beyond to help and make sure we got the deal we wanted. The rest of the process left a lot to be desired. The finance part, whil He went above and beyond to help and make sure we got the deal we wanted. The rest of the process left a lot to be desired. The finance part, while we paid cash for the vehicle, was a huge sales pitch to the extended warranty. That's fine, that's their job. The figures regarding the price of the various programs was not straight forward. Quite a few of the items on the list shown as included in the extended warranty, were actually part of the manufacturer's warranty - misleading to say the least. It's amazing how much less expensive "Cadillac" plan became when you said you just wanted the base coverage. So we finally agreed on a number, I looked at it as how much more I would have to write a check for - I already had a cashier's check for the cost of the car. No, the number they quoted me for the extended warranty included my down payment - that was part of the sales deal, not the warranty/finance deal. Sure enough the warranty number I was quoted was lessened by my down payment. I was furious. I was ready to stop the warranty discussion. My wife, not liking conflict, said just go ahead, pay it. It was an additional $1,000. This is the reason people hate car dealerships. We are locked into going to Southern Kia for service to take advantage of the oil changes, etc... (All dealerships do that now, nothing special). I won't step foot into on of Southern's showrooms again. All said and done, I forked over $64,000 cash that day. That aside, it was the worst new car buying experience I have had in the last forty years. During that time I have purchased more than twenty-five new cars for cash. More
