Horrible Experience I’m not the type of person to leave negative reviews but I’d like to scream at the top of my lungs to STAY AWAY FROM SOUTH SHORE NISSAN. I have never I’m not the type of person to leave negative reviews but I’d like to scream at the top of my lungs to STAY AWAY FROM SOUTH SHORE NISSAN. I have never experienced a car dealership care less about the customer - and what’s worse, when I had the *gumption* of bringing my complaints to their (the dealer’s and the dealer’s manager’s) attention, I was told I was insane. My experience at South Shore Nissan was one bait and switch after another: 1. The price they list online is ACTUALLY after $2,000 down - meaning any car you’re interested in is $2,000 more than what it’s advertised for. This forces Auto Trader and other similar websites to list inaccurate prices, and gets you into the door expecting a completely different price than its true one. When I later discussed this with the manager, he essentially told me that I shouldn’t trust any online pricing: “If I’m on Bloomingdales’ website and see a shirt for $40, I don’t think I’m actually going to get that shirt for $40.” WHAT? 2. We did find a used car that we liked and, after engaging in negotiations, mentioned that we wanted the few scratches on the back bumper taken care of before we took the car home. The salesman we were dealing with, Angelo, told us that that would be no problem. Of course, it was never done. We were told the dealership had to order the paint (plain white paint) and they would call us as soon as the paint was in, so that we could bring the car in and have the scratches taken care of. A month later, having not heard from them, I called the dealership. They claimed they were waiting to hear from me, and blamed me for not calling earlier. 3. Throughout the entire purchase process, it was never mentioned to me that there was only one key. In fact, they completely tried to hide the fact and only when I asked about it directly did they address it. I explained how I felt that I had been squeezed out of money and forced into one bait and switch after another, and the least they could do is cover the price of a duplicate key. Dorothy, the saleswoman who I was punted to (our initial salesman, Angelo, was new there and didn’t know enough about the car to finalize our purchase - should’ve been a red flag in and of itself) told me that she may be able to get me a duplicate for their cost - if I complimented her to the dealership and earned her a “golden wheel.” When all was said and done, the prices I got from other auto locksmiths were LESS than the supposed “cost” that she was quoting me. She made me feel awful for wanting a second key: “If I get a pair of Coach shoes on sale, I can’t go back to Coach and expect them to give me another pair for the same price just because I want them.” Again, WHAT? 4. Even the small things: when I drove the car off the lot, it had 1/4 gallon of gas and a leaky tire. (I wasn’t aware that the tire was leaky, but have had to put air in it twice in the month and a half I’ve had the car.) 5. The saleswoman, Dorothy, actually threw in my face that we bought a “fully loaded” Rogue SL (as opposed to the SV). She kept complaining to me that the dealership didn’t make money on the sale, and my response was that I am more concerned about my personal finances than a dealership’s. Her response? “Maybe you shouldn’t have gotten a fully loaded car with a sunroof and leather seats, then.” 6. Finally, when I spoke with the manager about all of the above points, and how I generally felt like the dealership was not the least bit concerned with my satisfaction despite my paying >$20k for a car, he told me that I was the crazy one. He explained that they inevitably have one crazy customer who can’t be satisfied each month, and this month it was me. I have never dealt with a car dealership that so blatantly could not care less about its customers or their concerns. I plan to discuss my experience with corporate Nissan because South Shore Nissan is RUINING the brand’s reputation. Go to any other dealership on Long Island I guarantee you’ll have a better experience than I did here. More

Salesman Con Artist On Saturday 8/10/2019, I went to South Shore Nissan in Amityville, NY to purchase a used 2016 Kia Forte LX (base trim line). South Shore Nissan sells On Saturday 8/10/2019, I went to South Shore Nissan in Amityville, NY to purchase a used 2016 Kia Forte LX (base trim line). South Shore Nissan sells many different models of vehicles, including Kia. Per Carfax, the vehicle had been in two accidents. The purchase price listed on Consumer Reports was $10,500. I called the dealership and they assured me that the cost of the vehicle was $10,500. Based upon the assurance that the vehicle cost was $10,500, I went to the dealership that same day. I took a test drive with a salesman who said that the car was in one accident and he said that the accident could have been a shopping cart that chipped the paint on the vehicle. However, (per CarFax) he failed to report that the car was involved in two separate accidents and both accidents included damage to the front end of the vehicle and damage to the left-front end of the vehicle. After the test drive, I met with two salesmen, the salesman who took me on the test drive and with a different salesman who was the primary salesman in the sales discussions. The primary salesman said that the cost of the car was actually $12,500 (not $10,500) and the dealer fees were an additional $3,000, which increased the cost of the vehicle from $10,500 to $15,500 (this is a $5,000 markup). The primary salesman is a con artist and I am confident that South Shore Nissan in Amityville, NY supports these con artist tactics. After much discussion, and while I was walking out of the dealership, the primary salesman stopped me and said that he could sell me the car for $10,900. I rejected the offer because the primary salesman was a con artist and could not be trusted. Within a 30 minute discussion, he tried to get me to pay an additional $5,000 for this used car and then ultimately dropped the additional price to $400. I have purchased many cars and have dealt with many car salesperson and many car dealerships. South Shore Nissan in Amityville, NY attempts to price gouge its potential customers. They cannot be trusted. DO NOT VISIT SOUTH SHORE NISSAN IN AMITYVILLE, NY. THEY ARE CON ARTISTS AND THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO ENGAGE IN PRICE GOUGING. More

Arlisha is GREAT! I was brought here through their internet sales Dept. The first girl I spoke to (wish I remembered her name) was great and assured me I was going to I was brought here through their internet sales Dept. The first girl I spoke to (wish I remembered her name) was great and assured me I was going to have a great experience with purchasing a veh here (thank you). I arrived and met with Arlisha and immediately went into discussing what I wanted. She was knowledgeable and explained all features and packages offered for a 2019 SV Nissan Rogue. There wasn’t any “let me find out” of any sort. “We” decided on the color gray even though I walked in with wanting the silver (Forgetting that the gray was more money than the silver online for whatever reason). I gave her my initial offer. She stepped out office and brought in Jean, her sales manager. We began to negotiate, Jean explained both finance and lease options and broke each option down for me. This is when Arlisha said she wants the gray one for same price! (Thank you for that) They were both patient with me being that I suck at numbers (I lose either way bc I drive a lot haaa). At no time did I feel pushed or rushed through my decision making, I felt I got what I wanted and was happy with price. I managed to get more money for my trade in being that I was “upside down”. My overall experience was great with Arlisha and Jean at South Shore Nissan and I’d def go back to them again! On a side note: I went to 2 other dealerships. Westbury was HORRIBLE. The one sales rep I dealt with was pushy and showed his true colors when I decided to NOT sign contract (I was there for a couple hours and it was past closing time. He got upset and even yelled into air out of frustration smh) Great professionalism. I’m not saying all customers are right but I worked in sales and NEVER did i treat my customers the way he did to me. His manager wasn’t any better saying “I don’t need your 2000 car”. (They are both reviewed badly on this site as a team) South shore and Westbury are owned by the same person. I gave South Shore a shot and wasnt disappointed. Completely 2 diff dealerships. Management and reps are 100xs better at South Shore. More
