Let me acknowledge the only bright spot in this establishment, a Mr. Jorge Noble. He was definitely helpful...but that's the only person who it seems wanted to help today. I was stuck on the sid establishment, a Mr. Jorge Noble. He was definitely helpful...but that's the only person who it seems wanted to help today. I was stuck on the side of the 405, literally 2 miles away from here. I called them to see if my warranty would cover my blown tire. The receptionist answered, then transfered me to the service department. Nobody answered. Called again...transfered again...nobody answered. This happened at least 3 times. So we kept calling. For AT LEAST 30 MINUTES, no one would answer. The receptionist or service. At this point, we knew the receptionist was screening me and my wife's calls, and simply ignoring us. At this moment, I called private, and within 2 rings, she answered. WHAT THE xxxx. The utter stupidity this woman displayed and lack of customer service should be a "How to lose your job 101". I then spoke with a manager named Mike, who apologized for her, and then claimed they were busy. HOWEVER, if I was looking to purchase a car from them...I'd have 6 people from here blowing up my phone IMMEDIATELY. See how funny that works, huh? Smfh... Let this be a lesson to those who would try a purchase a car here and need service. This place was xxxxin horrible. The receptionist should be fired for being that much of a xxxxxxx. Your 1 is to answer the phone. She didn't do it. End of story. More
SouthBay ran my credit (hard hit) without my permission even though they knew I was not applying for credit or loan. When confronted both the manager and finance manager blamed: 1. Internal policy even though they knew I was not applying for credit or loan. When confronted both the manager and finance manager blamed: 1. Internal policy and procedures 2. The government 3. Their (wrong) assumption i would be writing a check 4. Needing to know their customer’s credit info More

We drive from Camarillo to Gardena with my daughter who found a car they had for sale via Internet. 17K and change. This was almost 5K lower than market value. We sat down after the test drive down, went through all the paperwork and were told the car was 22,9K The salesgirl said, “They must have lowered the price over the weekend to boost sales.” (Better known as “Bait & Switch”) We showed her the ad and she said she’d talk to the Mgr. she came back and said, “OK, we can do that, but we can’t talk any discounts” That was OK with me, and I really felt they were being truthful when they told us it was Edmunds fault for putting the wrong price up. I reminded her that she said they posted that price to boost business. Her response? “No, I said I THOUGHT that’s what they did, it’s Edmund’s fault for posting it incorrectly” She left again, this time for quite a while..... She returned...”Can’t do it. Gotta stuck with the 22.9K”. I mentioned the Mgr just OK’d the advertised price...”He did, but the owner can’t do it, he said he’d lose money in the deal,” She said she could knock a little off... it was right then we walked out, promising we’d leave a review on this scam. Do yourself a favor... STAY AWAY FRIM THESE PEOPLE! More
Do not buy a new car here! I had agreed on a price with a sales representative over the phone, the DEAL was APPROVED and SIGNED by a manager. They had me come in, spend over an hour running my credit/signin sales representative over the phone, the DEAL was APPROVED and SIGNED by a manager. They had me come in, spend over an hour running my credit/signing paperwork and then instead of handing me the keys they decided to ask for significantly more money and tear up the signed contract. The manager's explanation, "you aren't going to walk away after all that"... well he was wrong, thanks for wasting a month of my time while I waited for the vehicle to arrive and my whole night. They changed written deals on me twice now, do not go here More
WORST DEALER EVER On August 25th, 2019, we returned to the South Bay Toyota in California to discuss the new lease contract since the 2016 Prius lease contract ended in On August 25th, 2019, we returned to the South Bay Toyota in California to discuss the new lease contract since the 2016 Prius lease contract ended in September. Based on the 1st 2016 contract, we do understand it is our responsibility to pay for the Excessive Mileage. However, based on the negotiable concept and per the Salesperson’s request, we provided the best amount of the Monthly Payments and 1st Down payment that we could pay, and along with a request of waiving the Excessive Mileage fees. The Salesperson specifically asked us about the number of the exceeded mileage on the 2016 Prius, and he also asked us how much the exceeded mileage worth it. We answered his question, and then he took our conditions to his supervisor. The Salesperson came back with a big Congratulation, and then we signed the new 2019 Prius lease contract. A month later, we received the bill from Toyota Finance regarding the Excessive Mileage, which is a totally big surprise to us, because this apparently is not what had been discussed between us and the Salesperson. With that big surprise, I started talking to the Salesperson through text messages. Beside this Fraudulent Act by the Salesperson who tricked us to sign the contract without including what was being discussed, the Salesperson even insulted me with “Please have some dignity”. As a customer, or in my life, I had never been told that I am a person without dignity!!! 1. As a customer, we feel deeply hurt and being tricked to enter a new contract with an agreed piece missing! 2. In order to reach the KPI for sales commissions, a Salesperson could take such an irresponsible move and being no guilt with his professional negligence! 3. Lacking fundamental discipline and training to your Salesperson, we now start worrying with a big concern of your vehicle’s quality, your staff’s honesty, and your brand’s credibility! To South Bay Toyota: MONEY IS EASY TO MAKE, BUT IT IS THOUSAND TIMES HARDER TO GAIN TRUST! More

Sam was honest and never tried to sell me what he wanted to sell me but found and brought in the exact truck I wanted. 5 other dealerships could not do that. They did the same ol same ol. Sam understands how internet sales are different and he is the only ONLY one who made it happen. AND at a lower price! Had I not wasted 20 hours of time dealing with all the other dealerships I would have gladly paid more to begin with. THIS IS THE PLACE. SAM and TINA are the ones to see if you know exactly what you want. More

Dealer saves a buck I brought my 2015 Tundra in for it 12 month service, which is covered under the Toyota Customer Care program. They changed the oil and filled my winds I brought my 2015 Tundra in for it 12 month service, which is covered under the Toyota Customer Care program. They changed the oil and filled my windshield wiper fluid reservoir with water. Not the 50/50 fluid/water ratio as recommended in the service manual. When I asked why, they said as a dealer they can put whatever they want in there, and the cost difference is only about a buck, making it sound like no big deal. If they choose to take short cuts on other service as well, say using regular oil in place of synthetic, they save even more. Which in turn, saves them more $$. And if they are doing this to everyone that goes there that's even more $$, much more. I'm not sure what these shortcuts do to the longevity of the vehicle. I'm not bringing my car to them anylonger. Good luck to those of you who do. I have several email corespondents with them and Toyota corporate to back my dis-satisfaction. As a customer I don't care what it costs, they are supposed to follow the owners maintenance manual. More
Awful experience with SouthbayToyota Avoid this dealership, especially their internet sales dept. I tried working with Tom Mergener, who quoted and provided me a printout of their price on a 2015 Sienna. I told him I needed a day to think about it. I came in the following morning ready to purchase and he immediately snapped at me saying I shouldn't have shopped his price around and the new price was $700 more than his previously quoted price. Tom made no concessions other than saying he mis-quoted the price. I left Tom's office disgusted, I felt compelled to speak to the manager of the dealership to voice my disappointment. You'd think they would care, but instead, management sent Tom back, who tried to argue with me. I told him I was here to speak with the manager and not him. He threw several verbal insults and stormed off. That was followed by a manager who promptly told me to leave without any semblance of customer service or asking why I was dissatisfied. This may be an isolated incident involving an unethical salesman. I won't be taking my business here ever. Be wary of this dealership! More
