We told him exactly which car we were looking for, and he set us up with a test drive. Mike treated us with respect and dignity didn't try to sell us something other than the vehicle we were interested in. Mike did give us as much info as possible to make an informed decision. He even showed us the car history. the whole transaction was very transparent with no hint of deception. We did not make a decision to purchase that day, and Mike was very pro active in keeping us interested in this vehicle. He contacted us several times without being overly aggressive. We purchased about a week later. We than met Carlos Pavao, the business manager at Somerset Subaru. Carlos was incredible! He made what is usually considered the most stressful (for me) part of the purchase very easy and enjoyable. Carlos has an incredible gift for making you feel very comfortable while conducting the financial part of buying. Again, the transaction was very transparent and very easy! It was so enjoyable talking to Carlos that we lost track of time and stayed way past the closing time of business! My car was ready for pick-up within 24 hrs. They took care of all the paperwork, registration and car cleaning/detailing -including filling the fuel tank!! This is a fantastic dealership with great people who make the vehicle purchase easy and stress-free. Have not experienced the service area at this time, but I have a feeling they are just as great! Our entire experience from start to finish was wonderful. Mike Vieira is not the typical "high pressure" salesperson we have experienced in the past. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly. We were even served pizza and soda while we waited for the financing to be completed. That was a nice surprise and something we never experienced in all our years of car shopping. Kudos for the nice touch! Our son is thrilled to have his own Rav 4 to bring back to college. I know it will serve him well. Thanks, Tony and Evelyn Costi More

I have bought used cars since 1985. I decided i wanted to replace my Honda Accord wagon with an outback but could not find a new but used one for less than I paid for a new one here at Somerset. I am really replace my Honda Accord wagon with an outback but could not find a new but used one for less than I paid for a new one here at Somerset. I am really happy with the new car and feel that i was well treated by the staff. I researched the price I should pay on cars.com and other web sites. They matched the lowest price. As well as selling me a great and very quiet car, they went to the RI registry for the plates relieving me of a much dreaded task. More
I had an S10 pickup truck purchased from a terrible Subaru dealer in N.Smithfield Rhoed Island, where I live. With only 70k miles and after multiple repairs, it died and I needed to buy a replacement vehicle. I went to Somerset Subaru and was treated very well and given a fair price on a Forrester and more than fair trade in on the truck, especially since it did not run. All time-lines for paperwork and delivery were met. More
I went to Somerset because they had the lowest price for the new car that I wanted to buy. My overall experience with them was very quick and good. The entire transaction took from maybe 30 to 45 minutes. the new car that I wanted to buy. My overall experience with them was very quick and good. The entire transaction took from maybe 30 to 45 minutes. The first person I interacted (Rick) with was the one I spoke about pricing with over the phone. I bought a base model. No frills at all. The only thing that I wanted additionally was a luggage compartment cover. I was supposed to get it for invoice price, but I was tricked into paying $21 more for "installation". When I picked up the car, I didn't know that the luggage compartment cover wasn't an item that even need "professional installation". You just pop the plastic covers off of the side of the back area and slide the luggage cover into place. In addition to that (paying the $21 for "installation"), the luggage cover wasn't even "installed" for me. Ha, ha. The second person I interacted with (Carlos) was also over the phone and he was the business manager. He was great. He was very easy to talk to on the phone. He finalized the numbers for me so that I could get the right amount on the check. No problems there. The third guy I interacted with (Mike) did all the finalizing of the paperwork. He was great too. He did everything quickly and did a little walk-around the car with us to explain things. The only downside here (and maybe it wasn't his fault) was that the plates he put on our car were for 3 months earlier than the current month was right now. So I paid $50 for 24 months of registration with the state, but in actuality, I will only get 21 months of registration for my vehicle with the state. I looked at the official registration papers later and saw that the motor vehicle department actually only charged $46 (since it was only 21 months of registration) and I paid $50, so I lost $4 there. So overall, the price I paid for the car was really great. I lost $25 in tricks overall, which is minor in comparison to the overall price I paid for the car, but it's the intentions behind such things that bug me. So would I recommend buying a car from this dealership? Overall, I'd say yes. The price you can get is worth it. But just be aware of little tricks such as these and you'll be fine. I'm sure you have to watch for such tricks at most dealerships, unfortunately. I wish it weren't so. More
