The only reason that I am giving Smythe Volvo a 5 is because I can't give them a 10! My wife and I purchased a new 2010 XC60 from Smythe and our experience couldn't be better! Everyone at Smythe Volvo deserves recognition because of their handling of all types of customers. If you have ever question yourself about the repairs and work on your auto actually being done- DON'T- bec their handling of all types of customers. We had a very unfortunate incident with our XC70 and the professionalism of our Salesperson (Craig Melquist) went beyond what I had even imagine would happen in resolving our situation. But that is the way everyone that I have come into contact with at Symthe Volvo has been. We have owned and purchased 6 Volvos 2 of which are still in the family somewhere in Minnesota and Colorado. Smythe Volvo is not a "Typical" dealer but a dealer that genuinely listens, acts and produces. AS WE ALL KNOW GOING TO BUY A NEW CAR IN NEW JERSEY IS LIKE HAVING TO GO TO THE DOCTORS TO GET A SERIES OF RABIES SHOTS. WHEN MY WIFE TOLD ME THAT SHE WANTED A NEW CAR BECAUSE THE BABY IS ALMOST HERE, TH LIKE HAVING TO GO TO THE DOCTORS TO GET A SERIES OF RABIES SHOTS. WHEN MY WIFE TOLD ME THAT SHE WANTED A NEW CAR BECAUSE THE BABY IS ALMOST HERE, THE FIRST THING I THOUGHT OF WAS SPENDING AN ENTIRE SATURDAY AT A DEALER "NEGOTIATING A DEAL". MY WIFE WANTED AN SUV W/ ALL WHEEL DRIVE SO I STARTED DOING MY RESEARCH. I WAS PUSHING THE HONDA AND TOYOTA, BUT A FRIEND TOLD ME HOW MUCH THEY LOVED THE VOLVO THEY HAD BOUGHT A YEAR EARLIER AND HOW GREAT THE DEALER WAS. I REACHED OUT TO THE SALESMAN THAT HELPED THEM WHEN THEY BOUGHT THEIR CAR AND I WAS BLOWN AWAY. HIS NAME WAS CHRIS HENRIKSEN AND THE DEALER WAS SMYTHE, IN SUMMIT NJ. CHRIS GAVE ME THE PRICE OVER THE PHONE, AND WHEN WE GOT THERE IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE HE SAID. WE WERE IN AND OUT IN UNDER AN HOUR. SOMETHING WAS WRONG, IT WAS A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH THEM. IT WAS STRAIGHT FORWARD, RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE VERY END WHEN WE DROVE HER NEW CAR AWAY. WE GOT A GREAT PRICE AND COULDN'T BE HAPPIER.
