I have a brand new 2025 VW Tiguan, purchased December 1, 2025. I have had various issues with the vehicle from day 1- one of which, a failed sensor, which the dealer did address. Another was an improper alignment at delivery, also addressed. I have been having issues with the onboard connectivity unit (OCU) - and have been complaining of inaccurate GPS location, inability to use remote features via the MyVW app, and now have no connection or ability to use SOS functions, which is a safety concern. I have had the vehicle at this dealer twice for the same issue, and was told the first time that “it could not be reproduced” - which is not true, as the issues were shown to them in person. The second visit, April 20th, I was informed that I would need to wait for Volkswagen to come out with a fix, and notify me and others who have this issue. It is my opinion as a consumer that this dealership should have owned the fact that I was sold a defective product and replaced the faulty module, rather than pushing it off until Volkswagen “releases a fix”. I now have an airbag light on since picking the vehicle up- and will not be returning to this dealership for any reason going forward. My wife and I both leased vehicles on the same day, and I find it absurd that there has been absolutely no urgency in addressing my concerns. I live 5 minutes from the dealership, but will be driving to Huntington in order to receive proper service. On a positive note, I would like to compliment Jasmine Khan, service advisor, for her professionalism and kindness throughout this process. She, honestly, was the only reason I have not complained to this point. She maintained great communication throughout the services and apologized for the inconvenience this has caused myself and my family. She is a wonderful asset to an otherwise very disappointing dealership. More

So I’ve had oil leaking from it multiple times. One time I was on a trip and had to find a gas station and add a quart to it that’s how low it was. Funny thing is it has no oil dipstick so the only way of knowing it needs oil is to check electronically on a screen. This is before even having 10,000 miles on it. There’s some known issue with seals from the turbo. Now I’ve been having the service engine light come on. They replaced another seal only to have it come back on 2 weeks later. This time they claimed it needed a software update and it was a false report from a sensor. Meanwhile lights were flashing everywhere and it’s telling me the engine is overheating and not to go over 4,000 rpms. While I’m at the service place he asked if the brake maneuvering light came up. Because if that happens I have to bring it back right away. I’m at the point now where I’m afraid to take it on trips because I don’t trust the car and don’t know what will happen next with it. Barely even 20,000 miles on. Also it drops the CarPlay connection to the phone all the time and the radio locks up. They updated that and it made it worse. Other things I hate about this car is that you have to go into a screen to adjust the fan speed for the climate control. It also doesn’t illuminate the temperature so it’s hard to adjust at night. It also will slam on the brakes randomly when backing out of my garage if there’s another car in the driveway. The mirror on the drivers side also crates a blind spot when you’re making turns. I’m glad it’s a lease and I won’t be finding out what long term problems this car is going to have and will never be buying an atlas again. More
