We needed to get a Prius quickly. Lou was very knowledgeable about the product. He was extremely courteous and not over-bearing. He guided us through the test drive, answered all our questions, knowledgeable about the product. He was extremely courteous and not over-bearing. He guided us through the test drive, answered all our questions, explained the trade in process to us as well as the clean pass vechicle process. He obtained all the necessary paperwork as efficiently and quickly as possible. He explained all the financing options and available discounts to us. There was no haggling back and forth - he gave us the best price for the new car, with the right incentives and the best price for the trade in. Overall - it was a very good, stress free experience. Truecar.com led me to Smithtown Toyota/Scion but Lauren's fantastic customer service made me actually purchase from them. She is VERY pleasant to work with and Honest. I had many questions on pricing, trade-in and scion accessories. She was knowledgeable but more important if she didn't know she partnered with her manager to get me the right information the first time and advocated for me to ensure I got the best deal possible. Another shocker for me was she called back when she said she would and continues to followup with me even after I purchased my car proving that the professionalism doesn't stop when you drive off the lot! If you need a Scion, you need to see Lauren. Tell her Bobby J sent you! More
Rich was a nice guy and pretty down to earth, which is what I look for in a dealer. I like people who seem that they are being honest. While this was the case, I do not feel the trade-in value of my car w what I look for in a dealer. I like people who seem that they are being honest. While this was the case, I do not feel the trade-in value of my car was high enough and do not feel the purchase value of my car was low enough. I will certainly bear these things in mind for a future visit. Most importantly, the Toyota I purchased was used and while I am very happy with the car itself (which is why I accepted deal), I was not told whatsoever that the CD player was not functional. I had to drive out of my way on numerous occasions to get it replaced b/c it was not mentioned during the sale (or not tested before sale, either way a problem..). Also immediately the car's tire pressure light came on, and a week or so later overnight the front right tire became completely flat and I had pay $50 to have it replaced. Advice to the dealer...be completely honest with your client (not just partially) because it just makes you look bad otherwise. More
I am writing this review out of appreciation for the fine professional service which I received at the Smithtown Toyota Dealership in general as well as from salesperson Mr. Aman Singh in particular. While I pretty much already had in mind the type of car I was looking for, Mr. Singh was nonetheless most patient and most professional in acquainting me with a whole host of options which I hadn't even considered when I first arrived. In the end, I was truly delighted with Mr. Singh's courtesy and professionalism throughout the entire transaction. In addition, I am very happy with the Toyota Camry Hybrid in which I eventually drove away. To sum it all up, as a result of the fine service which I received, I have every intention of returning to Smithtown Toyota after my new 3-year lease is up in order to negotiate the leasing or purchase of still another fine Toyota vehicle. As a preface: I'm one of those customers who wanted a VERY specific, VERY "loaded" Tacoma... everything and more than normally available to dealerships in this region, from factory options, to PPO access VERY specific, VERY "loaded" Tacoma... everything and more than normally available to dealerships in this region, from factory options, to PPO accessories, to dealer items (including supercharger)... and a bunch of aftermarket upgrades. I knew dealer costs and what I'd pay over that. Suffice it to say that I was a Sales Rep's worst nightmare!! After several model years of disappointing interactions with practically ALL of the Long Island dealerships, I happened upon a sales manager at Smithtown Toyota... remember the name: ALEX BRUNO. I'll try to be brief and give the man justice: ABSOLUTELY AND UNBELIEVABLY KNOWLEDGEABLE, HONEST, STRAIGHTFORWARD, MOTIVATED, DETAIL-ORIENTED, PERFECTIONIST. From finding the Tacoma on the factory list with the "basic" list of every option I wanted, Alex built the truck up with Post-Production and Dealer accessories, and orchestrated the purchase/install of the supercharger/fit-kit with the Service Department despite an undoubted myriad of raised management eyebrows. Then, there were my aftermarket chores: upgraded tires, truck-cap install and a minor level/lift kit... all requiring shuttling around to local and not-so-local shops. This is where Lou Bilous, a member of Alex' Management Team, joined the frenzy... providing back-up rides to/from as the truck evolved. Delivery date: June 10th. Rather than let me take a two-hour train ride out to Smithtown to pick up the pickup... Lou arrived at my door and we had a great ride out to the dealership, exchanging fond memories of the area where we both used to work. Alex wrapped up the paperwork, which took all of five minutes on my part, while Lou went into high-gear, giving the truck its final inspection, mounting the plates, walking me through the pack of manuals, and sitting me down in the Tacoma for an hour-long fact-filled lesson on every knob and switch it had. When I pulled away from the dealership, I knew I finally had the exact truck I had tried to get for years, and felt confident and thrilled with everything about it. My only regret? I'm sad that my contact with my new-found buddies will diminish... until I need to purchase another vehicle. NOT GOING ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Thanks Alex and Lou!!! More
