I was pleasantly surprised with the honesty, professionalism and family oriented approach with buying a new car from Smithtown Toyota. I went to Smithtown Toyota because they were the only ones professionalism and family oriented approach with buying a new car from Smithtown Toyota. I went to Smithtown Toyota because they were the only ones that not only have the loyalty program but they have the coupons online for maintenance and repairs. Therefore, if you want to continue maintaining your vehicle passed the 2 year free maintenance program then Smithtown Toyota is the only dealership where you can afford to do that. Mike (Who everyone refers to as Big Mike) was very kind, honest and knowledgeable with multiple vehicles to compare to the vehicle that I originally intended to purchase. He said let’s test drive another vehicle that you might like better. Surprisingly, I fell in love with the Venza, which I Initially wanted to purchase the RAV4. He did not at any time pressure or push the purchase of the vehicle. I stayed in contact with him via text and I was able to get him everything he needed via email. When I arrived to pick up the car and do the final paperwork, I didn’t need to bring anything with me other than the certified check for my down payment. The car buying process was very simple at Smithtown Toyota. When I was doing the final paperwork with the financial department with Rocky I felt like he was my own family member that was helping me through the process. He explained to me that there are some programs that are not necessarily needed to sign up for and guided me to the two important ones which was the extended warranty and the tire and wheel warranty program which surprisingly added only a small amount to my monthly payments. He said when the interest rates go down, he will give me a call and help with refinancing the car to lower the monthly payments. This is one dealership where you don’t need someone to sit down with you during the final paperwork process because they will not sell you something that you’re not going to need. I want to compare my experience of purchasing a car from Smithtown Toyota to a purchase from a competitor Toyota dealership. I don’t want to name the competitor Toyota dealership because I don’t want to give a negative review of them because they have very kind people that work in the service department. Back in 2017 I purchased a 2018 RAV4. It was a similar experience when I test drove the vehicle that I ended up loving. The sales department was very nice and very helpful. However, when it came time to do the paperwork with the financial department, they tried to sell me every single program that they offered which I later regretted signing up for some of those programs that I didn’t need. I highly recommend Smithtown Toyota to purchase your vehicle because they are the only ones that will give you the most savings on maintaining your vehicle passed the 2 year free Maintenance service, They won’t push or pressure the purchase of a vehicle when test driving the models and they won’t pressure you to sign up for additional programs during the final paperwork process at the end. So when you contact the dealership about issues AFTER you pay them, they're suddenly a ghost. No amount of emails/calls will make these people help you with paperwork/financials after they get their chunk of pay them, they're suddenly a ghost. After the fact, I guess she started screening calls and emails. Such a disgusting practice- her and the other managers at Smithtown Toyota. They obviously only care until the payment clears. More
