My son and I were looking for a car for him. After much searching on the internet and in person at several dealerships, we found a car at Smith Ford. Our purchase was a 2006 Taurus. We talked with Larry Wagner about the car and he thoroughly explained what items were checked at Ford before the car was put up for sale. The car had 75,000 miles on it which qualified it for an extended warranty as an option. Larry explained the options (year and mileage) and the price for each one. I have purchased 3 new cars over the last 12 years. 2 of these experiences were a nightmare, especially with the finance person who would not tell me the price of any extended warranty. Working with Larry was a pleasure. Over the last 8 years, I have started inquiring about cars over the Internet with about a 25% response rate. My first inquiry about the Taurus was through their website and I had a response within 24 hours. I called Larry, made an appointment, test drove the car, bought the car and completed the paperwork in under 3 hours. I will be returning to Smith Ford and recommending them to my family and friends. On our first visit Justin took the time to explain the Sync system and put my wife at ease with all the technology in the new vehicles. Justin did an extensive search of the 200 closest dealers with no luck. He then expanded the search and was still not able to find the options we wanted. He didn't try to pressure us into buying one off the lot, he suggested ordering one so the options were EXACTLY what we wanted. The order was supposed to take 6-8 weeks, 4 weeks to the day the vehicle was delivered. He spent at least an hour with us when we picked it up making sure we were comfortable with the functions, he has already followed up once to be sure we are happy. More
