Dear NN321, I am sorry to hear you feel that way about us but there is no "hidden or extra" fees. Doc fee's "aka" documentation fees are different at every dealer. Because we are the highest volume dealer in our region it cost more to process the paper because there is a lot more of it. Some people charge more than us, some charge less. A documentation fee is all of the clerical expenses, so if there are more clerks because of higher volume than the cerical expense will go up. Regardless, we are still upfront about it everytime. It is written on the papaer that you go over with the manager in black and white - not hidden. The $895 appearance package that you were speaking of is $795 and is 100% optional. We offer it to all of our customers as an option. It includes a poly glycoat to protect the exterior, pin stripe, interior protector to help protect from stains, and undercoating. Again - it is 100% optional. We offer it to our customers because of our location. Because we are so close to the ocean it is important to protect your vehicle to avoid exterior rusting issues after time. We offer it to help provide an extra service to our customers that other dealers don't. I am sorry that no one explained that to you while you were here. The internet department NEVER lies to a customer about the cost of the car, suv, or truck. Our internet department is designed to make the purchasing easier for the customer. Our internet department does not quote tax, tag, doc, and title fees because it is different for every buyer depending on where you live, how you are buying, what you are buying, if you are transfering tags or not, and much more. However, if you ask them to quote you and "Out the door" figure which includes all of that, our sales manager would be more than willing to work it out specifically for you. All you have to do is ask and provide the information needed to complete the out the door price, as listed above. Again, i am sorry that you feel wronged but it seems that it is more a situation of misunderstanding and miscommunication. I would have loved the opportunity to reconcile this situation with you before you bought but i am happy to hear that you still purchased a Toyota. Please don't forget to use our service department.
