I've had the transmission go. Found out the brakes were down to the metal. Two struts in the front where totally dry rotted. Two shocks in the rear rusted and falling apart. Don't do it , unless you want to get ripped off, they can't be trusted. You agree to one price and they jack up the price , with crazy fees and warranty. Nowhere in all my paper work shows a breakdown of all charges, to show how 11000 dollar car goes to over 17000, just a new magical number and sign here. I realize you have to pay tax and registration. I tried to pay balance after 4300 cash deposit, in full so as not to pay crazy fees and warranty and they wouldn't do it and hung up phone on me after passing me off to someone who was doing the paperwork. Neither Kenny the salesman or the other lady would give me break down of every fee. I don't want to call them criminals but you might want to. Don't do it More

Lets start off by saying, they basically tried to scam me for my car. I was trading in my current vehicle to use as a down payment, since I didn't have any cash on hand. Everyone was very vague and avoided giving me the price of the new vehicle. I don't know about anyone else, but when I buy something, the price is usually pretty important. Once I finally obtained a price(which I later discovered was highly inflated), Dean handed me a piece of paper which had my estimated payment and APR written on it. The payment was about $130 more per month than it should have been. When I asked why, they told me it is because of the tax. They would not give me an itemized breakdown so I could verify that everything was correct. Then I left because I had a prior engagement which ended up saving me from getting ripped off. Later that night, I decided to try and make sense of the ridiculous numbers I was given and I discovered that they SAID they were giving me $4500 for my trade in, but they did not factor it into my loan. THEY TRIED TO GET ME TO SIGN OVER MY CAR WITHOUT PAYING ME FOR IT!!!!!!!!!! The numbers that Dean gave me matched up EXACTLY to the price of the new vehicle WITHOUT my trade factored in. Needless to say we never made a deal. John proceeded to call me about 9 times over the next 3 days from different numbers that I wouldn't recognize. When he finally got me on the phone, he gave me an attitude and tried to further BS me. I would never go back to this dealer, or recommend that anyone else does. I'm also filing a complaint with the BBB. ****UPDATE**** Since writing this review, Charlie called me and tried to get me to come in so he could make it right. I decided not to go because I did not trust them to do the right thing. Instead, I went elsewhere and have purchased a brand new car, got a better interest rate and lower payment, got better service, and got more money for my trade. As far as I'm concerned, there is no reason for them to need more than one chance to not screw me over. More
My husband and I had a death in the family and could not find the insurance policy to pay for the funeral. We did not have sufficient funds to pay for a funeral. In addition to the emotional stress this produced we also endured a financial one, which caused our credit to go from excellent to bad. We were turned down by other dealers or accepted with ridiculous payments. We pretty much had given up. When we came to Shirley Auto Group we dealt with Joe. He was compassionate, funny and hard working. He was extremely patient with us as we went from car to car, SUV to SUV, looking for a specific type of seat for my back. I am not an easy customer and many dealers already were not going out of their way to assist us. Joe did. After a few weeks of going back and forth we found the perfect car. So comfortable for my back. We were very happy. Joe then really went to work to get us a good rate and monthly payment. When I began to drive the car the brakes were a little low for me. I spoke with Joe and he said to take it to his service station. I was concerned because it was a used car and I was not sure if I would be charged for this. I was so pleasantly surprised when I went to the service station. I was treated like royalty, they went out of their way to help me and to have it back as quick as possible. The customer service skills of the staff behind the desk was wonderful. Having gone through such a hard time in our lives it was a pleasure and a relief to be treated so well inspite of our credit. It was a great way to begin again. Thank you Joe!! More
I visited this car dealership the other day looking for the impossible, which I knew. I am looking for a very rare car that I cant find anywhere. They are looking for the vehicle for me and I'm so excited because no one else gave me the time of day. This isnt the first time I have gone there either, I purchased a vehicle from them about 2 years ago and couldnt be happier. I see some review on here are negative but believe me when I say they will honestly do anything to make you happy. they cant control everything but they definitley do everything in their power to make sure your happy and taken care of.
