Worst dealer experience Totally unprofessional and borderline deceitful. Made an appointment to see 1 specific car after confirming it was still available for sale. At least 3 people reached out via email to confirm my same-day appointment. One was the internet concierge (who even sent a second reminder to me about my appointment, second was the internet sales Manager, and third was someone to preliminarily review my trade-in. Drove an hour and a half (one way) to this dealer to test drive and purchase the specific car I inquired about. It was the color I wanted and had specific features I needed. Upon my arrival I asked for the person the appointment was with and the ‘next up’ guy in the lot said oh I work for her and can help you. Waited close to 25 minutes for him to look for the keys of the car I’m test driving. He finally returns with ‘oh I’m sorry, the car you called about is a demo car and the finance manager is driving it, it’s not here right now, but I can have it here TOMORROW at 9:00 AM, would you like to come back then and drive it or would you like to drive another similar car now? (No, the whole point of making an appointment was to drive the car I inquired about) Seriously??? And then I’m asked if I’d like to put a deposit down to hold the car and come back when it’s back at the dealership.. xxx . (Sure...... here’s my hard earned money, I’ll drive back 90 minutes home and return another day at your convenience when the car makes it back ... what time can I make another appointment? 🙄) Not one single person throughout the day and several emails mentioned the car I was coming to see wouldn’t be there, nor that it was a demo car. Very misleading and omitting key details. The good news in all of this is I drove to James Chrysler Jeep in Hampshire (after calling from the Sherman parking lot to confirm the car was there ... it was .... and I made and appointment that started with a test drive and ended with a drive home in a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee!! ) Happy to give my hard earned money to a reputable dealer and not get a bait n switch run around! More
