Ronald, thank you for taking the time to speak to our Service Manager. As he explained, Toyota agreed to cover the trim piece under warranty this time. We make every attempt to submit necessary claims to Toyota, but on the next occurrence, it may not be covered if Toyota determines it is damaged and not defective.
