Hands down the worst customer experience I have ever had at a dealership on two separate occasions. I went to Classic BMW 4 years ago to look at a new vehicle. The sales person at that time seemed very disi at a dealership on two separate occasions. I went to Classic BMW 4 years ago to look at a new vehicle. The sales person at that time seemed very disinterested in me and my business so I left and purchased a new vehicle elsewhere, blowing off the Classic BMW experience as a one-off. Fast forward to yesterday (4/24/21) and I decided to give Classic BMW another shot while shopping for a used vehicle. I once again received a sales person who was just going through the motions, where I felt I was interrupting her day by trying to look at a vehicle. Did a test drive and started negotiations on an 2020 X5. We reached the point in the car buying process where the sales manager is involved and I began working directly with her to finalize the deal. At this point, they tell me someone else has come in and is now interested in the same vehicle but that I was first, so no worries. I tell the manager I want to go out one last time to look the vehicle over while she works the numbers based on my feedback. I mention that we are very close to an agreement as I go check the car again (with the keys in hand). When I return to the office, the sales manager comes in and says, "Sorry, the other people are buying this car. Have a nice day." And that was it.... she walked away and the original sales person never came back. Not offering to look at another vehicle or anything at all, I left completely shocked. Not only did they not honor the fact that we were working a deal first while selling the car to another party behind my back, but then they just let me leave without trying to help me with another vehicle or offering anything. I've purchased many vehicles and usually you don't want a customer to leave but I guess Classic is doing so well they don't need customers nor customer service. So off I went to another dealership in Grapevine where I received the polar opposite experience (without even buying a car that day). I don't know what levels of training are done at Classic, but I seriously would consider some refreshers in customer service and sales 101. Maybe call BMW of Grapevine and ask the what training they provide. Actually, any dealership I've worked with has been better... Classic BMW, you've lost my business twice as well as my family which has leased 2 vehicles from you in the past. One lease is coming up soon and I've convinced them to shop at any other dealership other than Classic BMW. For anyone looking for a new or used BMW, I highly suggest you take the time to look elsewhere. I guarantee you will get a better experience. After all, why should you have a horrible experience when spending the time and money it takes to make a big purchase? More
