Serramonte Subaru After several weeks of horrible experiences in my attempt to purchase a used car from the dreaded USED CAR DEALERS, my experience at Serramonte Subaru After several weeks of horrible experiences in my attempt to purchase a used car from the dreaded USED CAR DEALERS, my experience at Serramonte Subaru was a breath of fresh air. I was picking up the car from an hour and a half away, so of course I was anxious. The first thing that happened when I pulled up, I was greeted by a very friendly salesman named Eric who asked me to make myself at home and brought me a drink of water, first thing. Since I came from an hour and a half away, I brought a one-way Avis rental with me. Eric offered to help me return my rental car to Avis and picked me up and brought me back to the dealership in his own car (very cool, ask for Eric). It took a little time for the management to look over the paperwork and get the financing arranged, but all through it, Eric would periodically come back and advise me why it was taking as long as it was. Eric even checked the traffic for me on his phone to see how long it would take for me to get out of Downtown SF (which I wanted to do as quickly as possible) and which would be the best route for me to take. Eric showed me the car, gave me an opportunity to inspect it and ask any questions I wanted. Their web site had already given me a free Carfax report showing me that the vehicle was a one-owner vehicle. And all of this when I was purchasing the car at 25%+ less than book price! After my weeks of high pressure and just plain gimmicks in trying to purchase a car, going to this dealership paid off. I highly recommend it, based upon my experience so far. More

Not only is Christian patient, he is extremely knowledgeable - I was deciding between a Forester and the new Outback Touring and he was very helpful pointing out all the different features and options with BOTH cars (seriously he seemed to be completely unbiased, which was awesome!). Christian also went to my Wife’s place of work and drove the car over for her to test drive - what a Gentleman. Honestly - I would refer everyone I know to Christian...he's one of the most honest, and reputable people I have ever purchased a car from him. Thanks to Christian for such a great car buying experience! More

After numerous emails, phone calls, with assurance that they would give us top dollar for our trade in. Guess what? Half the price of what KBB said we could sell to a private party. After the 3 hour drive home, we looked at the appraisal sheet for the Crosstrek, and they input the mileage incorrectly. I cannot even give them one star. More
Terrible customer service and do not honor their word I would never recommend this Subaru dealership to anyone. After working out an MSRP and financing plan AND placing a deposit for a car that was to arr I would never recommend this Subaru dealership to anyone. After working out an MSRP and financing plan AND placing a deposit for a car that was to arrive in several weeks, these guys left us in the dark. Their communication skills with customers is very very poor - no response to emails and phone calls. Everyone that works there has an overall lack of respect for anyone's time. After our car arrived, we received one phone call saying it was in the lot but they salesperson would not honor the financing plan agreed one. We called back each day to follow-up on the progress for financing, and NO response. Keep in mind - we already have a deposit on this car. After eventually speaking to the manager several days later, we asked for an explanation for the lack of communication. We were asked to 'verbally promise a good review' before we bought the car and moved forward with the deal. Understanding that sometimes miscommunication occurs, we said this is possible as long as we get an explanation for what happened. This led to an argument in the middle of the sales floor between two managers, where one stormed out of the dealership. While the salesperson was trying to explain why his communication was so poor, his manager interrupted his apology....and that's where we realized we were wasting our time trying to work with this dealership. The salespeople here: 1) cannot keep their word, 2) are non-responsive to emails and phonecalls, 3) practice unethically by asking to 'verbally promise' certain reviews before a car sale despite their poor customer service and 4) do not respect anyone's time More
Shame on them! Don't honor VIP Program Subaru Serramonte puts a black eye on the Subaru Brand for me. I'm a VIP Program customer and loyal owner, looking to buy our 2nd Subaru. They had the Subaru Serramonte puts a black eye on the Subaru Brand for me. I'm a VIP Program customer and loyal owner, looking to buy our 2nd Subaru. They had the exact car I wanted on their lot, available and not pre-sold, but they refused to sell it to me because they didn't want to sell the car at the VIP Program discount price. That's just being greedy! Definitely wasn't a customer minded experience. They even admitted the reason for not honoring the program was because they could make more money from someone willing to pay MSRP. Shame on them! They definitely did a disservice to the Subaru brand. I will notify Subaru Corporate about their unfair treatment and not adhering to the terms of a national discount program. If I could, I'd give a zero star review. More
