I purchased my second new truck, a 2022 Silverado from Serra knowing that the chips were not in. That's undisputed. I received a letter from Chev that my chips were ready. I called Serra and they stated t Serra knowing that the chips were not in. That's undisputed. I received a letter from Chev that my chips were ready. I called Serra and they stated that they would have to order chip. 2 months later Serra called and advised me that my chips were in or my new truck . appointment was created, I brought truck in and dropped off for 8:30am appointment. I asked at that time if they could look at the light in my driver side mirror because it was on all the time and the guy said sure and wrote it on ticket to check. I left it and called service about 3 pm to see if it was ready for pickup and was transferred to Thomas. (first red flag) He stated that the chips had not come in and they would be there first thing in am so i left it that night and the next day. I called the next day about lunch and was transferred to Thomas again (second red flag). Thomas said that the chips did not come in and that i had made the mistake of scheduling this fix. I stated to him that Serra called me and advised that my part was in. I did just as i was told and Thomas in service still blamed me of that mess-up. Even called me a Lier for telling him that the lady in parts told me that there was a package there with my name on it and it was the chip that i had been waiting on. Just to clarify, I have been a professional in Emergency services for 25 years. I don't lie to anyone and don't like people lying to me. My truck was there for 2 days. It was not touched. no one even called me to tell me that the chips were not there and i could come get my truck, Neither day. When i went to get my truck and asked about the light on the side mirror. Thomas told me that they did not look at it. ( just didn't). it cost me two days rental for serra doing absolutely nothing. That is unprofessional and caused me to loose my confidence in Serra service management. I do not have any issues with Stan that created my ticket and keys when i brought my truck in. The service lady at pickup was very professional. I have always bragged on this dealership for professional service, everyone that i have delt with for years. this one time that i delt with this issue and being lied to by Thomas just was not good for business. That chip order and placement should have been simple. surely with todays technology the chip order was logged in computer when i called to follow up from letter. 2 months later the lady told me that the package was there and it was my chip.( she did not have a dream of that and tell me, She saw it ) Thomas told me when i asked him if it was ordered or logged and he told me that he had no such log. xx. I was told that my chip was given to someone else. This cause a headache for me and instead of apologizing i was made out to be a Lier. PS. My wife heard the conversation from lady at Serra that told me that my chip was in. More
