While searching for a used car for my 16 year old daughter for Christmas, I decided to go to a dealership rather than simply buying off Facebook marketplace or some other private source. I understan daughter for Christmas, I decided to go to a dealership rather than simply buying off Facebook marketplace or some other private source. I understand there are risks involved any way you go, but was comforted by the thought that a dealer wouldn't try to scam me and would try to make things right if there were significant issues. In fact, I was so comforted by this thought that I was willing to even play the large dealer fee associated with using Serra. Unfortunately, my trust was sorely misguided. On the drive home from the dealer, my new to me vehicle stopped multiple times in busy intersections, surged forward unprompted, and lost power at times while driving down the interstate. The dangerous condition was caused by a failing transmission, which was going to cost thousands to replace. Serra's response, "bring it back and we will give you MOST of your money back on a trade in." Nevermind that they had no trades anywhere comparable to what I had bought or that they were unwilling to give me full value and looking to make more money on another trade/ booking fee. They were unwilling to help with a single dime to help pay for an extremely unsafe vehicle that was to be given to my daughter for Christmas. These guys are truly the Grinch that Stole My Family's Christmas. I wouldn't trust them to do the right thing. I would recommend Facebook before this company that is unwilling to stand by their products at least you will save yourself the extra $850! More
