I purchased a 2018 Ford Escape from Sell Your Auto Fast and was told, by salesperson Jose, a minor coolant leak had already been repaired by their mechanic and the car was safe to drive. Immediately after turning out of the lot, the engine overheated. Jose saw I was pulled over so he came over, checked under the hood and added coolant then reassured me again it was safe to drive. Within minutes of getting back on the road, it overheated again—this time on the highway. I called the dealership and spoke with Yasir who told me I could return the vehicle the next day (since it was after hours). I had it towed back to the dealership so we could deal with it the next morning. However, when I called the next day, manager Mohammed refused to honor what Yasir had told me. He said I needed to remove the car from their lot or I’d be charged a storage fee. Since the car was not drivable, he also offered to tow the car to me for $200. To avoid whatever the storage fee might be I paid them to have it towed. I had the car towed to an independent mechanic who found that repairs to the car were not done properly (hoses not attached, loose components and a gutted radiator cap). After lots of negotiating, they offered a small reimbursement (only for the tow and dealer fee) but ONLY if I signed a 17-section settlement agreement that included restrictions on leaving negative reviews. I declined because I felt it was more important to share my experience than accept a small reimbursement. Very frustrating and unsafe experience. More

They say you get what you pay for and I paid too much for the lies about this truck. When I spoke with Jamaal I asked what all was wrong with the truck and he confidently said nothing. If you live out of state don’t trust this place, the amount of rust and holes on this vehicle is insane. Besides the rust, the ac doesn’t blow, no gas, needed an oil change, lock didn’t work, and tires going flat. Called the salesperson who tried to get me to drive to Orlando and let his “friends” shop fix the ac at a discounted price. The manager was no better he wouldn’t take my calls, when I found out the state of the vehicle, nor did he return calls. They charge an additional service fee for an unserviced truck. Do NOT buy from here if you live out of state!! More

The dealership had advised me to get an oil change immediately — which was the first red flag. Despite doing exactly that, the issues continued. Over the next few weeks, the vehicle showed signs of burning oil, early oil system failure, and eventually broke down completely less than 40 days after purchase. It is now inoperable. When I contacted the dealership, I was told they would not inspect or assist in any way. I was laughed at and told to “just go to court.” This was not just a case of normal wear and tear — this was a vehicle with pre-existing safety and mechanical issues that were never disclosed. I’ve since filed complaints with the Florida DMV, the Attorney General, and I am taking legal action. If you value transparency, safety, or integrity, I strongly recommend doing business elsewhere. I would not trust this dealership again under any circumstance. More
