After showing me a few vehicles, I asked about the 2005 Scion xB that was on the website at a price of $8998. I knew with my $2000 down I would have this vehicle paid off soon. When I go to sign papers, the price on the vehicle before tag, tax, title, and all the other fees dealerships charge, was $11,998.00!! That is a $3,000 increase! I immediately asked about it and was told, "The finance company sets the price of your vehicle, not us." I had never purchased a car before but even I knew it was BS! However, I needed a vehicle very bad to get back and forth to nursing school and clinicals. So, I signed the papers. However, I did call the finance company just to confirm what I already knew to be Scott Crump Lies, and sure enough, the finance company told me that they didn't have a price until Scott Crump submitted the paperwork to them with a price of $11,998. So thanks Scott Crump for completely screwing me out of $3,000, putting me in a vehicle that I have no hope of trading in, and guaranteeing that every single person I see and know is told about your way to do things. I have since purchased 2 new vehicles (just as I told my salesman I would be doing very soon) and neither of them were from your dealership =) More
Rudest crooks you will ever deal with! We took our 99 Avalon to the Scott Crump service center to address a traction control issue. Essentially, we didn’t have traction control at all which made this car dangerous to drive when the roads are wet. We first took the car to Midas who told us that it was a computer related issue and to take the car to the dealership. When we did we encountered rude people who did not address our problem. They kept trying to address a completely different problem they saying, well your check engine light is on and that is because your EGR valve needs to be replaced. Then he quoted me $1000 for parts and labor. This wouldn’t even address the traction control problem! I just wanted to get the traction control fixed. The car is dangerous to drive! I get that there are other issues on the car. It’s a 15 year old car. I tried explaining that I just want to get the traction control issues fixed. They refused to fix it and thus I’m stuck. Throughout the entire negotiation, the guy was extremely rude. It wasn’t just him the whole department WAS RUDE TO EVERYONE! And add insult to injury, I was still charged 50 bucks just to run a diagnostic. That’s free at advance auto parts. These people are absolute lying crooks and you should stay away from them. I was planning on getting a prius from this dealership in a few months, but after the way I was treated I can assure you they will not see a dime from me. A nice Honda will do. More
I was involved in a collision to the front of my 2002 Toyota Camry on 4 Sept. 2010. I reported the failure of the air bags to deploy to Toyota Corporate per their instructions. Today, 24 Nov 2010, Barry Burns, the Service Manager, tells me that two (2) weeks ago Toyota told him that my case was closed - however last week Toyota was asking me to send photos of the front-end damage to their email, airbagphotos@toyota.com. The totaled car has been sitting on the lot at Scott Crump for these two (2) weeks and no one there thought to email me when Toyota told them that the case was closed (I have asked to keep our correspondence in email or letter form). I love my Toyota and will have another one - but there was a disconnect in the handling of my situation that should not have occurred and is without excuse. They have been very friendly, but friendly isn't progressive enough to accomplish anything if the ball is continually being dropped. I like Scott Crump overall because they gave me the best deal on the Toyota when I bought it and it had been a wonderfully reliable vehicle, until the air bags did not deploy and the seat belts injured me. Kim Clouse is a liar. I ordered a vehicle from him and was given a delivery date of June 15th. He then told me that the vehicle was on a truck in route to the dealership and would be there on June 19th. I was given a delivery date of June 15th. He then told me that the vehicle was on a truck in route to the dealership and would be there on June 19th. It wasn't! He then proceded to tell me that it would be there the very next day every time I called. Finally, on Thursday June 22nd, I call the sales manager and he said that the vehicle was shipped that morning at 5:30am. As of 2pm Thursday, I still do not have a vehicle and was not offered any compensation other than to go buy one somewhere else. Steer clear of this dishonest dealership!!!!! BEWARE!!!!! More
