Very responsive, a pleasure to buy a car from Rone. We contacted multiple Mazda dealerships in the Denver/Boulder area and requested pricing of a Mazda CX 5 Grand Touring. Only Rone Montano was respons We contacted multiple Mazda dealerships in the Denver/Boulder area and requested pricing of a Mazda CX 5 Grand Touring. Only Rone Montano was responsive to our requests and gave us an actual price of the car we wanted. From all the other dealerships we received fairly high quotes well north of TMV pricing and none of the sales people seemed very interested in giving me a real price over the internet. I was told to come in and speak to them, and also told that any price quoted to me from had an add on fee of 599.00. Rone was consummate professional - he did not play games at all. He quoted me a real price for the car, told me it did not include any added fees except tax and registration. The price quoted was the price we paid, the car was waiting for us with our names on the car. We just had to do the paper work, and drove the car home. Every staff member at Shortline Mazda was a pleasure to deal with and Rone went above and beyond for us. If you are buying a car in the Denver area I highly recommend this dealership. More

Sleazy Sales Department from the 80's I found a 2017 Miata I really liked on the internet. I contacted Shortline Mazda. I made an appointment. So far so good. When I arrived at Shortlin I found a 2017 Miata I really liked on the internet. I contacted Shortline Mazda. I made an appointment. So far so good. When I arrived at Shortline Mazda which is 1 1/2 hours from my home they couldn't find the car I was interested in. After a good wait, they found the car at one of their other dealerships. We drove and looked at it which was all I could do as they had lost the keys. More waiting. So back to the original dealership to wait some more for the keys. I really liked the car and negotiated an "OUT THE DOOR" price if the test drive went well. Well, I waited some more and they finally found the keys. The test drive went well so I waited some more while the paperwork was being done... and then some more waiting for the finance person. This was a cash deal so that shouldn't have been much of a problem. By now I had spent 5 1/2 hours at the dealer, mostly waiting. During all the waiting, I managed to get my future Mazda Miata purchase insured and arrange for some to help me get my Miata home. Finally, I get to see the finance person and hopefully write my check. SURPRISE, SURPRISE! "OUT THE DOOR" for Shortline Mazda means, the price you negotiated PLUS $600 Dealer Prep. I guess they figured after having wasted my day there I would just give up and pay the additional $600 of Dealer Prep. I have not had a SLEAZY buying experience like this since the early 80's. It is one thing if you cannot negotiate a price with a dealer. That is part of the buying ritual and I have no problem with that. It is another thing entirely if you can agree on a price and at the last step the dealer reneges on the deal. In conclusion, I didn't buy the car. I wasted 5 1/2 hours at the dealer and 3+ hours driving to and from the dealer. I can't recommend Shortline Mazda! It turned me off completely on buying a Mazda Miata which is a car you buy for pleasure and is in no way necessary. To make matters worse, I had the dreadful feeling that I had just had my identity taken with all the paperwork you fill out... so much so that I froze my credit right after that. Dreadful experience. Worst buying experience I have had since the 80's. Try Another Dealer! More
