Adam Swarnoff is not listed and he was my salesman for the evening. I arrived for the "Push, Pull, Drag" Event on Friday January 18th, 2013. First off, the advertisement that I took a screenshot of "Guara the evening. I arrived for the "Push, Pull, Drag" Event on Friday January 18th, 2013. First off, the advertisement that I took a screenshot of "Guarantees" a minimum of $4,000.00 for any trade in towards a used car. Make no mistake- this is a blatant lie. I was told my car was only worth $500.00- awesome lie! What a false advertisement nightmare! On top of that, they price their cars off a list that no one can view but them, so don't even try to use what banks use to price cars... NADA and KBB. So right off the bat, you realize that they purposely overpriced their vehicles to make up for their lying advertisements. I asked to see their list so that I could verify that price and the salesman don't even get to see them! They just rely on the manager to accurately price them. After I found that KBB value for the 2003 Honda Civic EX I was after was priced over the "excellent" value by over $500.00 I was already unable to breathe. Then, I saw the vehicle... Oh... My... God... What a nightmare! The interior roof cloth was hanging off the ceiling, the driver side door cloth was hanging off, the headlights on both sides were highly oxidized, broken and filled with oxidation, the front wheel skirts that protect the engine bay were completely missing allowing you to see the tires and ground through the sides, scratches on the back fender, scratches on the top, scratches on the sides, wheels were NOT in perfect condition, rims looked like milk was spilt on them that just can't be taken off, trunk was filthy and had dynamat all over it. Awwww man these guys are just real pieces of work. While trying to explain the circumstances to me, all Adam could say was "we put $4000 on paper but it's taken off MSRP" which didn't help him much. I still remember him asking me "do you understand?" and I would reply "No, did you pass math? Those numbers you just gave me don't add up... Anyone can write a number on paper, that doesn't make it fact." I explained to him that as per advertisement I'm guaranteed $4,000 for my trade in toward a used vehicle and that he offered me $500.00, and that is a fact we can both see. I also mentioned that the vehicle offered does not meet "excellent" conditions, so the KBB value of $7,336 is not even a valid pricing per MSRP because it doesn't meet the requirements and listed off why I needed the price to come down. Now, prior to even going in the expectation was set that I wanted to spend a certain amount aside from my trade in of $1,500 and that they should only show me vehicle that were priced as such... Well, they got that wrong too. This couldn't have been worse and even as I write this I can't imagine how many people are so frustrated with this blatant lying. DO NOT buy from these guys- the only thing they're certified for is lying in the courtroom. Mike Pryor said so many times "we'll give it to you straight away"... ARGH! SO frustrating! More
Schlossmann's always treats me well. Mike Schlossmann, Steve Claflin, and Jim Lemke put together an excellent deal on my car. Everyone - from sales, to service, to parts all take good care of me. Mike is the consumate professional, doesn't insult your intelligence and makes you feel like one of the family. The dealership is one of the best that I have ever worked with in buying our last 3 vehicles. intelligence and makes you feel like one of the family. The dealership is one of the best that I have ever worked with in buying our last 3 vehicles. We will always be back to Subaru City for service and future purchases. The service dept is great, too. They take the time to listen and get the work done in a reasonable time. The price we paid for all 3 vehicles was very fair and we got a good deal all 3 times. Great job done by all. More

Our daughter and son-in-law recently bought a Suburu Outback. We liked it and started considering trading in our Honda Accord. When their brand new Outback was found to be infested with spider mites, Outback. We liked it and started considering trading in our Honda Accord. When their brand new Outback was found to be infested with spider mites, the dealership found them another brand new Suburu and went above and beyond in helping them. We were VERY impressed with this customer service so decided to check out an Outback. We always have had and been happy with Honda Accords so considering changing was a big decision. When we checked Consumer Reports we saw thatSuburu Outbacks were rated number one. So that, along with the dealerships great customer service and our salesman Craig Conway, we decided to trade in our newer, trusty Accord for the Outback. More
I contacted all five Subaru dealers within 75 miles of my home for the best price on an Outback, Mike went the extra mile by emailing a video walk-through of the exact SUV I was interested in buying, Subaru home for the best price on an Outback, Mike went the extra mile by emailing a video walk-through of the exact SUV I was interested in buying, Subaru City also provided the best price on the vehicle over the phone. Mike had everything ready to go at closing time, provided a complete review of the features of the Outback and even pulled an additional item I wanted to purchase on the spot from another showroom floor model since the parts department was closed for the day and didn't want me to make an additional trip into Milwaukee for just a small purchase. This dealership is 100% customer focused, I highly recommend you give them the opportunity to add yourself to their long list of satisfied customers. More
Mike Pryor and the entire Subaru City team did an extraordinary job in both locating the "right" vehicle for us, and also making our car buying experience extremely positive. We were very pleased with every aspect of this purchase, and appreciate all of Mike's efforts to ensure that our needs were met at every turn. We also appreciate all of MIke's flexibility and give kudos for his ability to move the delivery date up several days - he was very willing and eager to make the adjustments that met our needs. This was by far the most enjoyable, painless and rewarding car buying experience ever. Mike is extremely professional, helpful, consultative and genuine. It is easy to see why he so successful. More
I took my car in on a couple occasions and had a bad experience every time. I have a brand new subaru which is under warranty. One time I took my car in for a recall on the sunroof and windshield wipers experience every time. I have a brand new subaru which is under warranty. One time I took my car in for a recall on the sunroof and windshield wipers. I got my car back and driving down the road I noticed that the wipers were put back together very sloppy and one of the plastic parts was just sticking up in the air. Then I noticed that the inside of my car around the sunroof( I have a beige interior) was covered with black, greasy, oily finger prints and smudges. It was very bad. After a while I took my car in again to have them look at the battery. They said the battery looked fine and offered a car wash. Then a mechanic from the garage comes in and says that they lost my car key. I went out to the car and all of the sudden the car alarm starts beeping continuously. I thought maybe someone was pressing it by accident. They said they found the key and gave me the car back. I drove away and then noticed that my car key is messed up. The lock button on it was pushed in and stuck inside, so it hardly worked. It also had a big scratch on it. I figured they must have dropped something on it or crushed it with something. But the worst thing was that they did not tell me about it and just acted as if it was normal, probably hoping that I wouldn't notice it. So now I am going to go in one more time to get a new set of keys from them and will make sure I keep an eye on my car so they wouldn't mess up something else. I will not take my car into this dealership anymore. I will rather drive 20 miles to the other one. Had very bad experience with Subaru City Milwaukee on 27th street and Layton Ave. More
I'm taking the time to write an extensive review on both Subaru City, and Mike Pryor in particular, as I feel that this dealership is a hidden gem for Chicago-area residents. The service and courteousness Subaru City, and Mike Pryor in particular, as I feel that this dealership is a hidden gem for Chicago-area residents. The service and courteousness that we received far exceeded all dealerships that I've visited (we'd probably visited close to 2 dozen dealerships). My wife and I had searched the pre-driven midsize-sedan market for awhile before we settled on the SUBARU Legacy as the car we wanted, due to its outstanding reputation, safety, and AWD. We are SO glad that we made the trip to Milwaukee's Subaru City. First and foremost, Mike Pryor is an amazing salesperson. He talks to you as a person, not a sales target. After inquiring online about a specific used model, Mike took the time to create a video on that car and he emailed it promptly...as Mike wanted to make sure that I was comfortable making a 1-hour drive to see the vehicle. When we got to the dealership (8pm on a Friday night), Mike had the car prepped and ready to demo. Before driving the car, Mike spent 10 minutes showing us the different features of the car. He has tremendous knowledge of the Legacy and answered all of our questions. Despite being late on a Friday evening, Mike let me drive as long as I needed until I was satisfied that this was the car that I wanted to purchase. No pressure whatsoever. Despite being a 2011 model with 26K miles, the car was absolutely spotless on the inside (honestly, I'd rate the interior as "new", it was that clean and free from any wear) and the exterior was in near-new condition. My wife and I were ready to negotiate a sale. I've been through the "purchasing process" several times in my life. It can be quite taxing on a couple, especially as it nears closing time for a dealership. Our buying experience was by far the best I've ever had. We never felt pressured. We submitted our best price, and to our delight, the dealership simply submitted their best price (very close to our offer)...no back-and-forth with a "let me check with my sales manager...". DONE. Picking up the vehicle the next day, we discovered that the dealership's philosophy on treating the customer the right way is engrained in all of their personnel. People smile and greet you, hold doors open for you, ask you if you need something to eat/drink....even if you are not "their" customer. Sincerely, everyone treats you like family, I've never experienced this level of comfort at any dealer before in my life. Mike Pryor had the vehicle ready for us, and then walked us over to the sales team to finalize paperwork. Sales guy (can't recall his name) was very personable and had us through the painless process in about 20 minutes. Mike COULD have just thrown us the keys and bid us farewell, but instead he spent the next 45 minutes walking us through the owners manual, showing us what all the buttons of the vehicle do (thanks Mike, for helping us set up the Bluetooth!!), walking us around the dealership, showing us the service department. The service dept is another hidden gem for Chicago-area SUBARU owners....HUGE, spotless, big inventory of Subaru parts. I am planning on bringing the vehicle here for any major work, as I'm convinced that this place will do the work right and at a great price. In conclusion, KUDOS to the ownership of this establishment. It's obvious that they have trained their employees to treat the customer as family, not as simply someone who can make the dealership money. Highly recommend this dealer to anyone within driving distance of the Milwaukee area....you'll get great service and a great price. We absolutely LOVE our Subaru Legacy! More
