Great experience but I enjoy working with this dealership, my second car from them! But I would like them to understand a little more when I tell them the amount I need to I enjoy working with this dealership, my second car from them! But I would like them to understand a little more when I tell them the amount I need to be at for the monthly payment. We had to haggle a little bit to get close to my payment area. I hate to haggle. I shouldn't have to haggle when I am a return customer. Nice people and will still use dealership in future. More

Based on past experience, friendly service, quality workmanship and fair cost I will always have my vehicle serviced here. Perhaps the best opinion I can give of Scholssmann's is that I don't really need to wait for an estimate of repair costs prior to authorizing the work. I have trusted and will continue to trust that I will be treated well and fairly. My most recent experience has not been different than any I have had with them for the past three years. More

I will mention that I was extremely disappointed when my husband noted that he had witnessed all of the other employees/managers within Subaru being extremely rude and disrespectful to Martha in her interactions with them. A dealership doesn't need to just need to respect the customer; they should respect their employees as well. Martha's manager Cedric was just okay; typical fake car salesman. Didn't seem genuine at all. Additionally, I would not recommend Will from Finance to anyone. He and his entire office reeked of cigarette smoke to the point that I wanted to leave. When I shook his hand it was very cold which indicated to me that while we were waiting (over 20 minutes) to meet with finance he was outside having a smoke. Additionally, once we informed him we did not wish to purchase any of the additional coverage/warranty options he became very rude and short with us. It's a good thing our initial interactions were with Martha as had we met Cedric or Will first we would not have purchased our vehicle. More

I discovered Subaru City after browsing fo Subaru City makes car buying easy and enjoyable. My salesman, Todd Langler, is the principal reason why. I discovered Subaru City after browsing for a car on a recent Friday at a suburban Subaru dealer where I was impressed with the handling of an Outback I test drove. I was not impressed with the sales policy of refusing to discuss the cost of an extended warranty--unless I had agreed to a purchase price. Which caused me to walk out the door. I later went to Subaru City where Subaru City's free extended warranty was one of the first things Todd mentioned. Moreover, SC offered me more for my 2004 European car trade in than the suburban dealer did. Most importantly, Todd spent about 3 hours discussing the Outback models and features, as well as taking me on a test drive. I agreed to buy the car that evening and, when I picked the car up Monday, Todd spent another 4 hours explaining the car's features. Remember that my trade-in was a 2004 car, so I had no experience with the electronic capabilities of new models. It was Todd's patience and enthusiasm that won me over. He assured me that he would be available to answer questions after purchase (because the operating manual is TMI, loaded with info, and a lot to slog through). I since returned to ask questions and Todd fulfilled his promise and therefore gave me every reason to trust he will do so in the future as well. I must add that other staff were similarly helpful. I wish I remembered their names as well so I could name them in this review. Another salesman answered some questions a few days after I bought the car when Todd was not available, and it seems to be company policy to have sales personnel stationed at the front door waiting to serve customers (unlike yet another suburban car dealer (new models of the European car I was trading in) who kept me waiting 30 minutes for a salesperson. There was one bothersome issue with the purchase-- though I hasten to state that Todd and apparently dealer policy made it work out well. After Todd got the ok for my purchase offer, a series of financial people met with me to offer various maintenance and supplemental insurance contracts. I complained to Todd and the other staff that they should have told me about all of these before we agreed on a purchase price (I felt this was a sales technique similar to the suburban dealer's refusal to discuss the extended warranty until after I agreed on a purchase). However, Todd got the financial staff to approve a hefty discount on one of the offers the night I agreed to the purchase. And other contracts were offered the day I picked up the car (again to my expressed displeasure.) I accepted a few of these but (and because) I was assured I could cancel and receive refunds for them if I reconsidered (certain time and mileage limits applied)--and SC made good on this assurance with no resistance at all when I decided to cancel one a few days later that duplicated some coverage in my auto insurance. In fact, Ms. Rabideau, who wrote the cancellation request, was gracious about it and I left happy. Finally, Todd also informed me of other perks: free shuttle to and from the airport, yadda. In sum, Todd stuck by me though the entire process with great patience, knowledge, and lots of information. My impression after interacting with other sales and financial personnel is that customer satisfaction is a management policy that is imparted to the staff during training (yes, I interacted with a young trainee salesman who was upfront about the limits of his expertise and who worked to find someone asap who could answer questions when Todd was not available at a later visit). So, count me as a satisfied Subaru City customer, happy to have worked with a salesman as people friendly as Todd Langler and who represents an enlightened dealer policy. More
