We appreciated that there was no pressure to buy or test drive and we were able to move forward at our own pace. We did not appreciate being sold an additional warranty when there was still 30,000 miles lef drive and we were able to move forward at our own pace. We did not appreciate being sold an additional warranty when there was still 30,000 miles left on the manufacturer's warranty. Not being forthcoming about that left us a bit unsatisfied with the experience. More
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! Unethical practices ingrained in every level of leadership that I could attest. Purchased a Blue Advantage Gold Certified truck and I will describ Unethical practices ingrained in every level of leadership that I could attest. Purchased a Blue Advantage Gold Certified truck and I will describe step by step my experience: 1- Negotiation: online salesrep tried to tie-sell me maintenance plan, GPS, and wheels/interior insurance. Told me flat out and it's documented over text that the advertised truck price was only true if I purchased the other 3 items (7k over). I had to state my disappointment after spending hours negotiating and that I would walk out of the deal if all of them were not removed. Best I got was keeping the GPS for extra 500$. 2- Pre-work/arrival: terrible. Flew out of state to drive the truck back and they had me waiting 4 hrs before I could leave as they hadn't run the financing numbers to try to beat the financing offer I had in hands - when I got there, they hadn't even started. 3- BLUE ADVANTAGE CERTIFIED: trusting the brand, I just saw it was certified but didn't look through the fine print on what I was entitled to. When I asked the finance manager out of courtesy if I could get a gas tank, he offered me 6 gallons (<30$ over a 2500x truck) which I thought was bad customer service but whatever... IF I ONLY KNEW HE FLAT OUT DENIED ME WHAT I PAID FOR BEING A GOLD CERTIFIED BLUE ADVANTAGE VEHICLE - , specifically, I should have gotten a full gas tank, oil & filter change, and new wipers. Further looking into the truck's report, I realized oil was changed almost 3k miles before I had the vehicle. What else could I be missing here??? Gave them a week to come back with a proposal here, it's start of week 3 and I can't find the finance manager any longer - not answering my calls nor returning my messages. General manager couldn't care less as he deferred me to his staff the first time I reached out and still asked my number the second time I emailed them (really, couldn't pick up my file somewhere or reach out to his staff directly and ask?). Escalated to Ford on the phone - which did provide me great customer service, by the way. I'm also filing a case with Illinois' Commerce Commission. You guys are an embarrassment to the Ford brand and for all other dealerships who are trying to be fair and provide ethical service, not nickel-and-diming your customers for every penny you can squeeze out. If i could give this a minus 5, i would! !! If you want honest work done on your vehicle and proper follow up, DO NOT COME TO Schaumburg Ford. I was recently on a vacation approx 250 miles f !! If you want honest work done on your vehicle and proper follow up, DO NOT COME TO Schaumburg Ford. I was recently on a vacation approx 250 miles from home when my F150 died. Stranded with no knowledge of the reputation of dealerships in the area, I had my truck towed to Schaumburg... BIG MISTAKE! I was initially quoted just under 3000.00 for repair work which included removing the transmission. After reviewing the estimate, I realized they were attempting to charge me around 700.00 for a battery!!!!! I checked around and comparable batteries were in the 200 range..a few calls later to the technician and me pressing the overpriced issue led to them making the excuse that they thought my truck had two batteries!!! Being stuck so far away from the dealership (after renting a car to go home), I bought a battery at another Ford dealership and had it sent to Schaumburg saving me some money.. After agreeing to have the work done (I didn't feel I had a choice), I finally picked up the vehicle. On my way home after driving approx 100 to 150 miles, I began to see smoke coming from under the truck and the dash lights all lit up and the transmission would not shift properly!!! THIS WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP!!!!!! I made my way to another dealership a few miles from my location and was stranded again 2 hours from home.. Days later, I find out the transmission had too much fluid added!!! Approximately 1.5 quarts too much...by Schaumburg Ford. The new dealership charged me 411.00 to remove the fluid and clear the code.. I immediately called schaumburg and gave them the new invoice for them to pay given that it was their mistake for shoddy work!!! I was assured it would be taken care of...that they would stand by their work.... A day later I heard nothing so I called again and another technician denied knowing anything about the situation, so I again sent the invoice to him and he stated I would receive a call back... well I did not..... So i called again and complained and again was reassured the check was sent out.... Well here we are 2 weeks after the last conversation and NOTHING...... NO CHECK, NO REASSURANCE, NO FOLLOW UP!!!! This place is dishonest and gives a bad name to dealerships..... they don't care about their customers!!!! I hope this review reaches out there to prevent other people from being taken advantage of by a dishonest ford dealership!!! More

We had a very good experience at Schaumburg Ford. Our salesman, Alber Youssef, was wonderful. He was friendly, caring, and not pushy at all. It was nice to have a salesperson who didn’t pressure us into buying a car! We were able to find what we wanted. Alber called us the next day to see how we liked the car we purchased. That was a very nice touch to the personal care we received. So glad Schaumburg Ford has someone like Alber Youssef working for them! More

Truck is built a year later with a $500 price increase. Should be no problem, since Ford protects price increases to the original purchaser within a model year. The dealer just has to submit documentation, that proves I was the one who ordered it, and purchased it. I was given a 3:00PM appointment by the new sales manager, because apparently the entire staff changed back in February. The Salesman I ordered from and sales manager from last year were gone. I arrive by 2:30, check out the little truck for a few minutes, and let the sales manager know that I'll be in the customer waiting room. (mind you this is after I brought the Sales Manager Lunch, which he asked me to do) I hear him tell the salesman 3 different times that he has a customer waiting. He's running around laughing and talking to the other salesman like it's a frat house. My wife see's what's going on and is getting upset by 3:30. Finally at 3:45 we are greeted by the salesman to do the paperwork. He tells me to sign a paper stating $650 a month for 72 months! Then I see he buried a Gap policy and an extended warranty into the contract. After 5 minutes of arguing with him, he finally takes it off. Has me sign a few trivial pieces of paperwork, then it's off to the finance office. Finance guy again insists I need a gap policy, and a "Windshield and tire protection package". I haven't had a blowout in 40 years, and never replaced a windshield. He continues to try to convince me why this $100 a month package for 72 months is so important. $7,200 in case I need a tire or a windshield? xxx? Finally, after arguing with him for 20 minutes he agrees to drop those scams in the Finance office. Then he hits me with an interest rate 3.5% higher than my banks so-so rate. Tells me it's now $500 for 72 months, with excellent credit. Tells me Ford credit is over 12% now, but he got a little better from a bank. WHAT? So I asked how they would handle the $500 price protection amount. He says he never heard of "price protection" I had to explain this to him, and the Sales Manager, who also "never heard of it" I showed them the Ford document, and let them know they must file to get the refund for me from Ford. So finally, it's late, and I'm ready for a late dinner. I said just write it up and I'll refinance it with my bank. Finance manager has the gall to tell me I have to keep the loan with their High Juice bank or they don't get credit for the loan. Excuse me but what the xxxx have you done for me? I refinanced the loan for 3.5% less "juice" and a savings of $4,200. I can only imagine how much this tactic will cost the average $47K car buyer if my little commuter was only $25K. I go home that Saturday, Monday I ask for the General Manager. I get him on the phone and ask if they will file for the price protection. He says "what's that"? At this point I feel like I'm in the twilight zone, since nobody at this dealer seems to know about this decades old policy. And he is the General Manager? I forwarded the document to him. He claims Ford says that I as the customer must have a certificate for that. 3 times calling Ford Customer Service and they confirm every time that this dealer is required to file for the price protection. This is a Horrible dealer experience start to finish once the truck arrived. I guess they wanted me to refuse the truck so they can mark this little hard to get unicorn up by $10,000. The previous crew inspired me to come back and gained my Loyalty. The new crew threw that 5 years of loyalty away in about 4 hours. They never even had anyone offer to show me features, or sync up my phone when the purchase was done. Keys and GTFOH basically..... Sadly, I have bought several $100K Fords in the past too. 9 new Fords since 2000. Guess where I will NEVER shop agai More
