My student who is 18 in high school went to buy a Toyota Corolla at Sarasota Toyota and they sold her one for 14k with $140k miles but the worst part about it was they didn't tell her the AC doesn't work so Corolla at Sarasota Toyota and they sold her one for 14k with $140k miles but the worst part about it was they didn't tell her the AC doesn't work so the next day when she drives it and turns the AC on it's broke she tries to get someone else to look at it and they can't fix it so she calls Toyota of Sarasota and they tell her it's too late she'll have to pay $2,000 to fix it. I just can't believe that they would do this to an 18-year-old student that means they are scammers because they should have said the AC doesn't work I will never recommend them to anyone especially any of my students again her name was Victoria and she bought the car Monday this past week but I bet you they will not get in touch with her More
STOP READ Buy At Your Own Risk Look I understand you take a risk when you purchase a vehicle but from a higher end dealership like Sarasota Toyota I purchased my vehicle on Oct 27th 2023 by Nov 4th-11 I take a risk when you purchase a vehicle but from a higher end dealership like Sarasota Toyota I purchased my vehicle on Oct 27th 2023 by Nov 4th-11 I was at Firestone and a reliable mechanic and also Auto Zone because my check engine light came on so I get it checked out to find my vehicle o2 sensor is bad plus catalytic converter is bad plus showing signs of several months of oil leaking from the front and back Struts the vehicle bottoms out when hitting a bump in the road or just going over a man hole cover in the road also before you purchased the vehicle you ask your sales person if it is any issues wrong with the vehicle and they assure you it’s been checked and also they will not let you take the vehicle to get looked at and will not let you bring your mechanic to check out the vehicle only to drive it so you take the vehicle after purchasing to Firestone for a diagnostic and you find out the check engine light is from your catalytic converter/o2 sensor and the front and back struts need to be replaced also the brakes need to be replaced so you call your sales person and ask to speak with a manager at the dealership so you get the full can’t accept anymore voicemail of the managers so you have to take a trip to the dealership just to catch one of the managers and you still really don’t receive any help from them offering to cover half of the bill for the struts to be replaced so Firestone wants you to pay over $2,000.00 to get your vehicle fixed only your struts is very unacceptable I don’t care if I have a warranty that doesn’t go into effect until 30days after purchase the vehicle should not have been able be sold/purchased in the condition it is in that is completely unacceptable and bad business especially after asking my sales person if anything is wrong with the vehicle,since I was not able to have it looked at until after the purchase is very bad business Sarasota Toyota all I can say is when dealing with Sarasota Toyota Buyers beware and Buy At Your Own Risk because you may get a reliable vehicle or you may end up with A Lemon like I did Better Business Bureau will be in contact cause I should not Have to pay for any repairs Two weeks after purchasing a vehicle Sarasota Toyota you need to do right by your customers More

A scam with no accountability. I Bought a car recently from them and noticed multiple thing on the 160 inspection that had not been done. I called 13 times with no response. I was looking for them to just redo the inspection and the lied to my face. I bought the car in where then they said they’d “look at it”, they said it’s fine, then when I asked for the 160 inspection paperwork Tony Baker said they hadn’t done it as he thought there was nothing wrong with the paperwork we had questions about. I have been talking to corporate Toyota to try and rectify the situation, but Sarasota Toyota will not talk to them, so they have given up on fixing it. I have asked if I can speak to the general manager and the employees refuse to let me see him, or even give me his detail. I can’t find his information online either, which makes me think he know these shenanigans are occurring and he is ok with putting his head in the sand and ignoring it. Also check the BBB rating. It shows how bad they are. Do not buy a car from here. Once they have your hard earned money you mean nothing to them. More
TERRIBLE DONT RISK BUYING HERE Purchased a Lexus from this place from Travis morales while driving it home I noticed the steering column was broken and rattling called the dealership to speak to my sells this place from Travis morales while driving it home I noticed the steering column was broken and rattling called the dealership to speak to my sells guy he said yea I'll take care of that but every time I called he kept putting me off also he lied about giving me a free warranty said cause I didn't have good credit that they have to give me a warranty "it's mandatory" and that I should feel lucky come to find out they charged me $1959 for it .they said they would refund that and 9months later nothing it wasn't till I got the police involved that they agreed to give the money back and only cause I had video of the lie and transaction.to make a long story short I ended up asking if they would fix the steering column and I would pay I just wanted it done they said yea we will call you for an appointment when the part comes in so I call a week later and they tell me they refuse to service my vehicle cause of my past experience with them these people have no honor ..except one guy Marvin but even he couldn't help me cause the gm who has never even ment me said we refuse to help this consumer because I refused to be taken advantage of they don't want to be recorded because they do shady business which is why you should definitely record your transaction cause if you don't you have no recourse ....if you decide to do business with these people ..good luck More
I purchased a vehicle from this dealer 05/2021 and then traded it in to another dealer 12/2022. I completed and sent in a cancelation form for my service, car care and road hazard coverage. I never heard anything back and tried to call the dealership but the receptionist was extremely rude and would not transfer me to anyone. She would only say "leave your name and number and someone will call you back". No one has called me back. I then contacted the receptionist again and had to argue with her to get her to transfer me to a manager and I spoke with Josh who stated that he would look into this situation and call me back. He called back and said he was trying to find answers still and would call me back but wanted to let me know he was working on it. I have never heard back from him again. I have sent emails to Nate in Finance, the finance manager and general manager and to the email listed in the contact us section of their website. Again, no one has called or emailed me. This is definitely the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered with any business. I no longer live close by or I would go into the dealership, as apparently that is the only way to get them to allow you to speak with a manager. I would stay away from this dealership, as there are other Toyota dealerships nearby and I have to believe their customer service would be better. My next step is to contact the Better Business Bureau and News Channel 8. More
These guys are scam artists and I do not recommend them at all! They will charge you excessive fees and tell you xx stories. Highly recommend going any other dealer they do not own.
