Jeep Service department is TERRIBLE!! I have never had a worse experience dealing with a service department. Specifically the jeep service department. I was told the diagnostic test would I have never had a worse experience dealing with a service department. Specifically the jeep service department. I was told the diagnostic test would only run $140 until I got a call a few hours later asking for another $280 because the test the ran was inconclusive. I was then told I need a brand new part and it is on back order. My jeep was stuck halfway taken apart and they were not able to give me any idea of how long my jeep would need to be in the shop. I was told I would get an update on the status of my jeep on the following Monday. I eventually gave up waiting around 4 pm and called in to ask about the part in question. The man who picked up was exceptionally rude and refused to give me his name when I asked for it. He then transferred my call to another department without letting me know. I am now paying to have my jeep fixed but they will not guarantee the part I am replacing will even fix my problem. They just say it "should" fix the problem but if it does not I will have to live with my check engine light on. TLDR; They want me to pay $1500 for a part that might not fix my jeep and they were exceptionally rude and unhelpful . I would avoid this place at ALL cost. I let most things slide but this is the worst I have ever been treated in regards to getting a vehicle serviced. More
My transmission blew up with 98k miles on it . Dodge corp. and Sunset Dodge refused to help at all. I own a 2013 Dodge caravan, with 98k. The car was purchased at Sunset Dodge brand new. I boug . I bought the car from my neighbor who bought it from Sunset Dodge on 3/13/2013 I purchased it with 5k miles. I had some warranty work done on it in 2015 . 2 weeks after the 5 year power train warranty expired with less than 100k miles. Dodge corporation and Sunset Dodge refused to help or honor there warranty. After owning and driving car for 40 years I have never had a transmission blow up after 5 years . Consider carefully your choice of buying a dodge they are poor quality and Dodge wont honor or offer any good faith. Even if it is a day after the warranty expires More
Lazy people They "completely serviced" a truck I had just bought there. And by that they meant that nothing was done. At all. But when it turned out the power steering reservoir was filled with wiper fluid, costing me a day in the shop, now they claim to not have touched it. More

Myers to Sarasota (77 miles) to buy the car (great inventory and knowledgeable staff). I had such a bad experience with Galeana Fiat in Ft Myers that it was a "breath of fresh air" to work with Sunset Fiat. I will travel there for all my services. Highly recommend this dealership...worth the travel. More

Charged me to activate my trailer hitch I bought a certified 2015 Grand Cherokee SRT in Rhode Island with 8000 miles on it advertised with a trailer hitch but when I went to see it it had no I bought a certified 2015 Grand Cherokee SRT in Rhode Island with 8000 miles on it advertised with a trailer hitch but when I went to see it it had no trailer hitch. They said they'd add the hitch YadaYada bought the car and drove it to my winter home in Florida. When I hooked up my jet ski trailer to bring it for service I had no lights. On Monday I brought the Jeep to Sunset where they confirmed it didn't work and set up appointment for Wednesday at 2:45 pm. They said it would only be a few minutes and could wait. On Wednesday at noon they said they would have to cancel the appointment because they were backed and to drop it off Friday morning. No offer of a loaner for my troubles but whatever it's a jeep not a Range Rover. Even though that Jeep cost the same as my wife's Range Rover. At 3pm they called to tell me I would have to pay $150 service fee for the computer to recognize the tow hitch. I was livid. I already paid for that trailer hitch at the jeep dealer in Rhode Island and they forgot to update the computer. Karen from Sunset Dodge didn't want to hear it. Do I want it fixed or not. I told her to get the money from the Jeep dealer in Rhode Island she said no. I called Greco jeep and they said they'd reimburse me later. I called Sunset back and said to fix it. At 5:10 they called me and said my jeep was ready. 10 minutes after the service dept closed. They were hoping to avoid me I guess. I explained the whole thing to the service manager Rick the next morning. He discounted the price to $70. I told him any price to just turn on my trailer lights that I already paid for was outrageous but I paid and had them show me that they worked before I left so I wouldn't have to pay a third time. Today I wrote my 1st and 2nd complaint letter about anything ever. The first was Firkins jeep where I stopped first to see if they could just test it and see if the trailer lights worked and they said no because the service department closes in an hour and a half. Maybe I expect too much but Jeep service sucks. I love the vehicle especially SRT products but I'm not sure I can live with this level of service. The reason I rated quality of work so low was because it took all day to do a ten minute job. More
